So Sanctuary was a waste because...YOU happen to not like it? I mean by that logic Bozja was a waste because folks didnt like or do that, same for Eureka. If all you're doing is a different savage and one different dungeon that just might be a you issue.the long waits are where you really feel the lack of eureka/bozja areas. in EW we get island sanctuary which was the biggest waste. i only went there one time and never went back. it's been over a year and the only relic content we got was a tome vendor. after 1 year i feel the xpac is the same as when it started, except i am doing a different savage and 1 different dungeon.

The Island really did suck. It's mediocre gather content. I thought it was supposed to be a place for your character relax not mindlessly go collect things. FFXIV content wise has become lackluster in the last couple years. Nothing is as exciting anymore. Things have gotten so easy in game there is no difficulty to any content at all. FFXIV might as well be a virtual chat screen with some dungeons mixed in at this point with everyone sitting inside the major cities. There isn't any incentive to go and do any content at all. Recent bugs, a broken MB economy, outdated visuals and UI. It's 2023 and they still use archaic systems at this point. Instead of continuing this for 10 more years, why not stop here and build FFXVII with a new engine and take the mistakes you learned from this project and don't repeat them

That's funny...most I know personally DO use Sanctuary to relax. Who says you have to collect anything? I haven't and it still serves as a nice relaxation location. The Island really did suck. Next you say there's no difficult content anymore. I suppose that means you have all the Extremes, Unreals, Savages and Ultimates done yes? No incentive at all to do any content...is that why Party Finder is full every day of the week? If there's no incentive at all how can this be the case hm?
Recent bugs (none gamebreaking might I add), broken MB economy (server dependant from what I've seen though the term broken isn't exactly clear), outdated visuals...this one is interesting. To me there's no such thing as "outdated" visuals. Anything can look good as the style is the important factor (again my opinion. And lastly archaic systems such as what?

So tell us, what you do so engaging and relaxing in IS thats not done in 5 minutes. I would love to get some ideas and possibly more content out of IS. Because I would rather relax with some youtube videos about traveling, that looking at digital pixels of sheep that dont even interact with me.That's funny...most I know personally DO use Sanctuary to relax. I guess you were not watching FF lately right? Because I dunno, for example if my character dodged my Ley Lines because I had too many buffs, I would see that as gamebreaking for sure. For you maybe its nothing, because you will never see that many buffs.Recent bugs (none gamebreaking might I add), broken MB economy (server dependant from what I've seen though the term broken isn't exactly clear), outdated visuals...this one is interesting. Even tho I dont care about visuals, those in FF just are. They are in desperate need of shading, which we hopefully get in FF7. Clipping hairs/tails is something we just need to get used to

IS is a nice location to just go and be somewhere with myself and my thoughts. Has nothing to do with content. Folks I know spend most of their days in there, what they're doing exactly all the time I can't say. Really don't get your point. So tell us, what you do so engaging and relaxing in IS thats not done in 5 minutes. I would love to get some ideas and possibly more content out of IS. Next you definition of game reading is much different I see. Also is that whole "you will never see that many buffs" some sort of odd jab at me or something? Lol
Next uhh what does ff7 have to do with ff14?
Also yeah Rolder50 Bozja was definitely not 5.2. Best not to spread misinfo there to try n prove a point

It's likely female Hrothgar and the graphical upgrade that is taking their time. Remember, it's not just characters getting a graphical upgrade in all likelihood, but EVERYTHING in the game, including old dungeons. That's going to require almost all hands on deck. With SHB you can argue that the pandemic kind of got in the way of stuff. Which it did. But eventually they got back on track.
Square insists FF16 isn't getting in the way of 14's development.
We're actually having more time between patches too, we should have a similar amount of work brought out.
Caveat to consider: they're working on content that will be released in the future, which likely requires a lot more work to be done than the features we've seen now.
Well, to be fully honest. Arent they getting a new people in their dev team? Those reworks of old content are probably done mainly by those new devs.
Also, FF14 grows. We all want it to grow. but that also means, their team shoould grow and they should expand the game to new possibilities. People are never mad at the game because they want to. They love it and want it to be sucesfull and spend every time in it. Its more pressure on the devs, but you cant ever say No to your players.

The ones that SE "borrowed" for XVI is slowly moving back to XIV I would assume since 16 is getting close to being complete. Hopefully they will have something to show by 7.0 but putting hope in a large company has rarely been a good move, lol.Well, to be fully honest. Arent they getting a new people in their dev team? Who says you can't do both? Besides, I though the devs stopped putting stock into the forums a long time ago, lmao.

Do both? No clue what that means exactly. But I'll bite. The ones that SE "borrowed" for XVI is slowly moving back to XIV I would assume since 16 is getting close to being complete. If a fast food joint has lowered the quality of their foods to a level you personally dislike, you wouldnt continue to buy food from them. Losing customers is what makes companies move. If you're writing bad reviews but still going there every day (making this known) they don't care as they're still getting your money. They've no reason to change anything. That's my point. So yes you can complain and still stay subbed, just understand that it's not going to be as effective doing that.
ARR came about due to people leaving 1.0. Just sayin
This statement is absurd. Game companies say or imply "no" on a regular basis.
"The Customer is Always Right" was a retail sales slogan for department store staff in the 19th century, not a manifesto for game developers. It is a stupid slogan when one considers those "customers" who are either dishonest or unrealistic in their expectations.
A game company that never says "no" to players is a game company on its way to bankruptcy.
