Differentiating healer identities

I've seen roadkill with more brain activity than Healers. The most complex thing a healer has to do is target someone that needs to be healed and that's really it. Timing your CD is a universal thing that all roles do to varying degrees so what exactly makes healers more "complex" or" complicated"?

And come now, there's roadkill with more brain activity than DPSers or Tanks, so that's not really a high bar anyway.
