How about peopel test the class. It hasnt exactly been out long. so try the changes, the player base of FFXIV is so driven by what someone claims to be true in a thread. Test it out, It is so stupid to see people posting away because they read it somewhere that it is not good. Actually figure it out. not to point out something really old. but until they redid stats people actually thought dexteriity increased evasion. even made up statistics for it. a year of the forums talking about it and they didn't read the dev post way early on that said it wasnt based off dex at all. Test it out. do not follow what half the people on the forums post. Most dont even gatehr the information correctly. and it is littered with assumptions and self derived conclusion.

not that it matters they will still post pages of probly completely wrong information after this post... sometimes I think people post just to think they are intelligent... but everyone can form an opinion. it takes intelligence and an unbiased drive to post something that is factual, something that is true.

The WAR vs PLD debate isn't something that can easily be put into numbers. This is stemming from people doing things with PLD and with WAR, and conveying which did better at their job. The aspects of a tank that are bad are losing hate and how often are you in red HP. These are not really things that people will be able to provide a parse on. WAR is more often in yellow after a big move, and PLD in red. This, coupled with the insane enmity generation as a by-product of DD'ing makes WAR superior to PLD.

I'm not saying PLD sucks, I can do just fine with it after this update. It's just that WAR is still better.

It's not like nobody is trying out PLD and WAR - it's that we have and see that PLD is nearly useless as far as tanking goes.
