Sure does not impact me if it ia client side so go for it. Not sure what point you are trying to make that client side modification has no impact on others experience unless they let it? How would you removing lalafell from your screen impact me?Official thing. I should not have to resort to mods to customize my experience so that I don't have to endure people's desire to "express" their ridiculous popoto race.
(btw I think Lalas are awesome and I'm just making a point. If you want to deactivate player's glam, their race and for example makeup choices should also be customizable for the same reasons.)
This already exists in the game under character options

I'm not saying that it impacts you, I wanted to know your opinion on this. You are consistent. I assume you would by the same principle make mounts, titles, names, etc also alterable.
I was originally coming from a different place: I thought that having a sort of public digital space that we all can assume we share is a good thing. But it isn't neccessarily. If other people bother you, you should be able to rid yourself of their influence.
Would you want mods to be allowed and where's your limit?
Yes, it's so reaching to compare games made by companies from different countries, which is why this game regularly and often gets compared to WoW all the time. Not only that but the devs actively play WoW and take inspiration from it. It's almost as if gaming is a universal constant across any region so having a feature from one game appear in some form in another game is not uncommon.you're reaching for straws comparing a game made by japanese devs that prioritize japanese players to another MMO made by another company in another country with an entirely different culture that also barely resembles ffxiv and i don't wanna hear diddly squat about how i wouldn't know since i have a decent grasp of the language and translated countless things for people on this forum before.
have you looked at square's CEO? read his posts? dude is 500% into monetization and the only reason why we have to go into an inn and "sleep" in the bed to try on cash shop items is because yoship for years and years has pushed back against trying to monetize the game any more than it currently is.
if the businessmen at square had it their way the game would harass you every 30 seconds to buy a fantasia.
Gamers don't die, we just go AFK

I am all for mods, I do like having the ability to add or change things that enhance my play experience. For a friends B-day I made them a mod pack that had a bunch of hats and hairstyles workable for Veria. I like being able to do this. Never gave it much thought but client side altering would be okay unless it actively broke something.I'm not saying that it impacts you, I wanted to know your opinion on this. You are consistent. What about combat assistance? Is frequently done, what if it was officially condoned? Would you be all for it?I am all for mods, I do like having the ability to add or change things that enhance my play experience. Oh I am 100% for combat assistance since on a personal level I think SE lacks many accessibility options and while they can be missed used or give able body players an advantage I think to a large degree the pros out way the cons when it comes to player accessibility.
I think we are talking about the something here.
Bumping this because apparently "making people seethe" is a valid form of expression
Be it by annoying glamours or annoying forum posts
