This already exists in the game under character options

The point was that the game already gives you the options to avoid what you don't like, it's not a stretch to ask for more to avoid confrontations and arguments. As well, other games have definitely done this and it didn't cause an apocalyptic exodus of players, everything mostly just functioned the same with people who were upset by someone else's appearance just hiding them. If anything, after adding something like this there would be fewer disagreements since you wouldn't be forced to interact with people or things you don't want to.
But if they're going to do anything they should just make Visibility/Voidlist official. Just give people the options to not render other players if they choose, it sure makes some of the fates in the gold saucer actually playable without 100 models on your screen, and you could just remove any abusive person from your screen, no need to fight with them or argue with them, just immediate ignore button.
I'm not saying that it impacts you, I wanted to know your opinion on this. You are consistent. I assume you would by the same principle make mounts, titles, names, etc also alterable.
I was originally coming from a different place: I thought that having a sort of public digital space that we all can assume we share is a good thing. But it isn't neccessarily. If other people bother you, you should be able to rid yourself of their influence.
Would you want mods to be allowed and where's your limit?
I am all for mods, I do like having the ability to add or change things that enhance my play experience. For a friends B-day I made them a mod pack that had a bunch of hats and hairstyles workable for Veria. I like being able to do this. Never gave it much thought but client side altering would be okay unless it actively broke something.I'm not saying that it impacts you, I wanted to know your opinion on this. You are consistent. What about combat assistance? Is frequently done, what if it was officially condoned? Would you be all for it?I am all for mods, I do like having the ability to add or change things that enhance my play experience. Oh I am 100% for combat assistance since on a personal level I think SE lacks many accessibility options and while they can be missed used or give able body players an advantage I think to a large degree the pros out way the cons when it comes to player accessibility.
I think we are talking about the something here.
