Review of 6.3 Story Content

It boils down to the expansions real end at a x.3 patch which we didn't get this time around. 2 patches to build up a new expansion is the norm and now we have 5 patches to build up a story so yeah its really feeling like filler because of that. Especially since we know where we are going but are rushing towards it while gaining as little information as possible. Thats how I feel. ARR was slow because it had to build up the entirety of the game so maybe its just arr all over again.

Maybe I'm wrong but didn't they make this expansion longer to finish off the whole arc in one go? Because I thought the end was supposed to be when we fistbumped Zeno to death. Wich would mean this isn't meant to be part of the expansion story but a lead in to the next arc of the story.

There are lingering parts from 6.0 but you are right 6.1 onwards is meant to be a new arc so to speak I think it is also why 6.3 isn't as hard-hitting as other .3 patches but that's because they were always designed as an expansion story closure. This isn't needed now as 6.0 ended it at that point. I feel 6.4 will be the .3 equivalent and then 6.5 the set up to 7.0

Thats exactly what I mean. It is usually 2 patches to build up the story for the expansion. Since 6.0 was the end of endwalker technically, all this other stuff feels like filler because of it. The norm is skewed and we all feel like we are back in ARR except they have to rush to build it since 50 levels of time doesn't exist this go around.
