Thread: Review of 6.3 Story Content

While I understand the premise behind this persons issue with the fiends, the point is they were never more than canon fodder to a wider goal. Not the first or last time, even if they spent more time with them their goals would still be the same. I come to the source to finally die because I can't back in the void...no amount of writing is going to make that any different the premise is still the same or how I see it. I am holding out for what 6.4 does before I lean into any criticism of their handling because at the moment nothing has stood out as terrible...I have experienced terrible in many games and this ain't it.

If you think the Fiends are bad here, go check 'em out in IX. The first time around, you don't even fight three of them; they're defeated in cutscenes by two other party members each, and the one you do fight can be made a total joke just by equipping Auto-Float. The second time, they're out-of-nowhere speed bumps in the second-to-final zone who get a couple lines of dialogue and then die. The final time, they're crystallized trash mobs in the final zone, which is pretty short, so you might not even see more than one or two.

How dare you insult my fav FF! There was a load of nuisance with those fiends...wait...actually there wasn't they were just....dare I say canon fodder pawns for the big bad to dispose of? Damn...

I was hoping we would get more stuff done this patch, but we just got baited by Cagnazzo and they destroyed our portal, that's it, I guess the focus of this patch was Zero's character development (which was something I've seen a hundred times but eh, I hope she stops spamming that tip hat emote from now on).
But we fight Golbez next patch for sure. SURELY things will start to become interesting in 6.4, right?

I feel she does it or did it due to being uncertain about how to respond to things. Like it comes off as the same way someone might fidget with the hem of their shirt sleeve or the hem of their shirt. Or biting of their lower lip. I'm fairly certain we will see a lot more build up and more action mid way to late in 6.4.

If it truly wants to follow FFIV I would see the dungeon we fight his sister because he had a shadow dragon so he may possess her...then the trial be him. But that is if they follow 4 closely that could of course be completely different.

thats what I was thinking as well, more of a thing to do when you dont know what to do or say. does she do it a lot, yes, yes she does. does it drive me like some, no, I just look at it as a personality thing like the WoL does when they are thinking...

If we are not getting a new version of Zeromus' theme, I'm gonna be majorly dissapointed.
