Really it's all "easy" in a basic level, games are more designed around fights being the difficult part not the rotation of the job you play. Tanks will actually have to learn a lot of separate stuff from the group during Progression, generally still performing the other stuff, obviously this is all fight dependent but theirs no one class/job that's the easiest as it's down to how you feel personally.
Tanks have the simplest DPS rotations ("keep dot up and press 1 until your finger falls off" isn't a rotation), their mechanics are frequently a *lot* simpler than other roles (often being just "hit all the buttons to not die" or "hit provoke so your friend don't die"), and whereas DPS and healers tend to just die if they stand in the bad, tanks typically survive.

Nah, dude. If you play all roles, you will very quickly realize that tank is *by far* the easiest role in any kind of challenging content. It's clear that Square-Enix is still worried about putting real responsibility or depth onto tanks in fears of driving players away from them. I think that's likely why they've continued to make healers 1-button classes, and also likely why they gave tanks such a ridiculous amount of sustain in EW. When a tank or healer fucks up, it's visible and undeniable. But unless someone in the group is running ACT, a DPS fucking up is generally invisible.
