The entire premise of this thread is really confusing, even without taking into account the swapping between XIVAlexander and XIVLauncher.

In my experience there is an exceedingly small portion of the game's total population that has any real moral stance on third party tools, and to fit into that group you need to both be competing in endgame content and not be using any of these tools yourself. That... doesn't describe that many people, least of all the people that you see here complaining about the existence of something like NoClippy.

In what way does a random DRG being able to double weave with a High Jump or any other thing made possible by a third party tool impact you if you aren't in competition with them as a player? At that point, if you really care about competing you'll likely even the playing field in any way you're able to - this has been part of the proliferation of third party tools throughout the high end raid community.

If you happen to be a high end raider who completely abstains from third party tools, by all means the floor is yours and your complaints are valid. They're moot, but you're entitled to the soapbox.

At the end of the day SE isn't some boogeyman out to ban people, they're a company that would like to keep their giant money printer running. As long as these tools aren't causing significant hardship to any players (and to be clear, they are not) there won't be any action taken against using them because to do so would be bad business. You can say what you like about SE as a company, but they're good businesspeople who know clearly understand how to cultivate and maintain a fanbase who will fork over money for whatever they put out - and I don't even mean that in a disparaging way, as I count myself amongst those fans.
