A mount you'll barely even see unless you make a point of standing outside major towns just to use it. No actual festive outfit to speak of, where in previous years it was just a standard. Why implement it now and sell it for 4 dollars in a year, when they could sell it for 18 dollars now, amirite? And then SE doesn't even have to comment, because fans here will defend the company for free. Even if you don't buy it, enough other people will so it won't even matter. The game will just get worse. I used to complain about this sort of thing all the time like when we got the cruise chaser mount as a 30 dollar package instead of an in game earnable item, or when we were asked to use grubhub to get a pizza emote and then the promotional company screwed the pooch and scammed tons of people, or all the dumb costumes released in the cash shop while there were content droughts going on, and all I ever heard in response was "what are you, poor??? It's only 30 dollars broski!"
Well, now Christmas in XIV is dogshit and finally more people are upset about it. But what'll you do? Even if you boycott the new item, thousands of other people will cough up and buy it. And where does the money go? Probably to fund a new FF16 trailer.
