that Yoshida really has been holding this game back. FFXIV has been dead for years, lets rehire Tanaka back, maybe he really was up to something with 1.0 and we just didnt gave it the chance.

I like to think the whole "FFXIV being dead for years" wouldve been the clue to me joking.

But yeah if I wanted to play FFXI, I play FFXI. I play FFXIV because I like playing FFXIV and its endgame is very comfortable for me to do, as someone who isnt solely dedicated to just one MMO

How funny would it be if they used XIV revenue to fund XVI's development and then gave us a XVI event that was entirely cash shop oriented?
But no, in all likelihood I'm sure we'll get one similar to the XV event, since this project absorbed some of the XIV team's prominent members. It'd be weird if it was never at least referenced in this game.
