Thing is the game won't ever get out of it's loop of tomes grind as end game as long as we got yoshi. He is not going to move the game to new things.
personally Im ok with this game's endgame being mostly that. Gives me the chance to play or do other things without fearing of being setback in terms of progression just because I didnt fully commit to it




He has talked about the possibility of horizontal progression. Whether it would actually happen is hard to say, especially now, because we are at a crossroads where they are going to create a new overarching story for 7.0 and with it comes the question, do we continue to level 100, 110, 120, get a level squish, or stop bothering with concepts like leveling and come up with a different idea for progression.
I would say that is risky and probably not worth doing unless it is a solid and proven idea and that is probably the conclusion most people in his position would arrive at.
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
