Okay? Cure 1 is trash, benefic 1 is trash, physick is trash, clemency is trash (if the healer's alive). Is it a super big deal in dungeons? Not really unless the person using one of those is using them to the detriment of the run. Does it suddenly make them not trash abilities? Not really.

For me it really depends.
If I believe the remaining party can finish off the boss just fine without the healer for reasonable amount of time, then I’ll keep going on.
If the healer dies pretty like early, like 85% or more & I think the DPSes are subpar/needs a decent babysitting, then I will wipe it. I’m not gonna play the game for the healer. Get up, and do your (general you) job. I make my intent very clear when I’m planning to wipe it by saying ”I’ll reset this for healer.”
Now if I die and tank keeps going on? No biggie. I got a moment to refill my drinkTy for doing my job.
Because I like to see my Excogitation, Lustrates, Soil, Solace, Tetra, Essential, Tauro, Haima, and Benediction does not overheal too much.
Because I like to leave natural HP regen, Eos Embrace, Assize, Kardia, and Earthly Star do their magic.
Because Clememecy is a GCD & my $h!tload of heal buttons are oGCDs.
Because there are rarely instances of repeated waves of incoming damage that requires immediate treatment.
Because myself & DPSes who take damage in mid pull are just going to get healed by plethora of my AoE healings, no need to babysit them.
Now is it a biggie? Not at all, it’s just normal content. If the PLD prefers to Clememecy all the time then I will Glaroilficosis until they can’t, then I will start healing them. By rare chance if the PLD decide to ask me to heal more, I will list out every oGCDs that they’ve ignored to that point. Happened only once since I first started playing though lol. That being said if I'm the PLD, I use Clememecy only when healers dies & "I will die in 2s if I don't press this right now"-moments.
If you're familiar with RDM's Vercure (not for dualcasting purpose) and SMN's Physick in ARR content, then that's really how the button is treated: emergencies, otherwise there's 0 need touch it.

"Outside obvious jokes/sarcasm, I aim to convey my words to the future readers who may come across mine posts. Can I change -your- mind, somehow? Potentially... but that's not why I'm writing. You and I have wrote our piece(s). We don't necessarily need to change each other's mind. But we can change other's."
Pretty sure depending on the healer, letting PLD Clemency is actually more optimal. Doesn't WHM Holy spam out DPS PLD? At lower levels it's probably more optimal.
But it's also niche and you can't really depend on most people to think about what situation they should do something and what situation they shouldn't.
Not really. Holy unlocks at Lv 45. Using Holy 3 times in trash mobs is equivalent to a Hallowed Ground (which means Holy has additional healing value that can't be calculated and it doesn't incur DPS loss in trash pulls). Total Eclipse + Prominence is 270 potency together, but that's assuming you didn't factor in Fight or Flight. It's roughly 338 potency together, or 169 per GCD AoE --and it lasts for 25 seconds. Holy is 140 potency per target. Things generally tend to die before you ever need to rely on Clemency to make a difference.
By Lv 58, every healer have oGCD healing unlocked. WHM can just plop down a prepull regen or Asylum and usually that's enough as long as the PLD is using their mitigations appropriately. By lv 72, Holy Circle also gets buffed to 300 potency under Requiescat while healers get more oGCD healing skills. There's never really a case where PLD wants to Clemency for healer DPS.
That's my point. They have their uses and shouldn't be completely scrapped. In dungeon content, the only optimization people need to worry about is gear. That's generally what forces people to use these skills and one should be ready for anything, especially in roulette.Okay? After a hiatus I joined a 50/60/70/80 dungeon. The Sage didn’t do anything bad or wrong but it’s worth noting his MP was super low. That’s because he kept spamming Euk Prognosis over and over. When boss fights came the healer just throw all its abilities randomly which confirms my suspicions that maybe some healers don’t know what their doing and content could care less due to how soft the mobs and bosses hit. This later happened with a Astro on Fell court
I got a WoD run last night with imbeciles still holding chains on Cerberus.
Yes...of course they screwed it up at least once. Every team I get that does this strat(albeit rarely seen.) ALWAYS HAS TO SCREW IT UP ONCE. So instead getting that sweet juicy uptime melee dpses are always harping about ALL OF US ARE STUCK IN THIS FIGHT FOR TWICE AS LONG BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO DO THEIR JOB AND GRIEFED ALL OF US THAT WANTED TO JUST G.E.T. T.H.I.S D.O.N.E. No one in any normal content, let alone level 50 normal content and above cares about uptime(I don't even know what uptime even is.) I'm going to start doing chains myself since I've had it with FAILING LEVEL 50 CONTENT like this. I can't take it anymore. I've been playing this game for over a year and people still insist on doing this.
So in regards to this I have two questions!
1. How does the chains thing work anyway? I've never done them because another team or teammate always usually do it for me.
Do I just run up the north pillars, right click them then pull the chain to cerb, run to the "open fetter" right click that and my character does his thing?
2. Also, if ANOTHER teammate or alliance grabs a chain, can I grab my own chain? or are the chains locked on the first player who grabbed them?
*reads comments*
Well, guess that's egg on my face. I mostly started spamming it either to proc clem for the shield or because I was below half health. I mean, the tank is not dead so mission accomplished but as a tank who doesn't trust people, sorry in advance for taking healing into my own hands! lol
Now stand back, this blue dps is going to focus on their AoE rotation!
1. Yes. Exactly that.

2. Nope. Whoever picks up it is now 100% on them.
