So was doing Mother Crystal last night...this has to be my new favorite trial to do cause MAN do people die to the same mechanics over and over. I tried to explain some while on the fly but was killed once due to typing. I think I cast rez about half as many times as I have on my worst Void Ark.

The fun thing about it is we never wiped. It was slow and brutal and I don't think there was a single moment after the first 3 minutes where half the party had rez sickness. Finally felt like a healer and not a glare bot.

I'm shocked she survives long enough for a tank buster to matter. She gets burned down about as quickly as ever even with the changes.

We had a sprout THM in the party and I came in on an alt MCH. That's how I found out. Granted MCH really doesn't get that much pew-pew at that level.

Also to the AST I had in WoD: tanks count as melee for your melee cards. Had one get upset earlier because out of the entire alliances' dps, there were only two melee, everyone else was ranged. I had to kindly remind them that tank count as melee for melee cards, and they immediately shut up.

2 matches in Onsal with an alt but they were glorious.
We were losing pretty bad at start and this random dude kept complaining in alliance and saying how it is a loss and taunting on getting kicked, the party obliged and at the end of the match we made a comeback and won... the chat kinda exploded all laughing at that person, it was great.
The other match was another victory but it was the 1st match ever the timer almost ran out in that mode, we won by 5 seconds left... mainly because the scores were getting heavily shifted constantly too

To the party I had in Aitascope earlier:

DNC: please make more liberal use of Standard Step and Technical Step. These are amazing damage boosters, and I only saw you use Tech step twice the entire dungeon, and you oftentimes let Standard Step fall off to where it made everything take much longer to die. One of the pulls I ran out of ogcds and was getting low on mp even with Lucid to sustain dps and the tank. You also ate those vuln stacks like cookies, and I'd rather not waste resources on someone who intends to get themselves killed just to say 'WHERE WERE THE 'EELS?!?!?!1111'

BLM: please update your gear. Looking up your lodestone shows you've got a ton of 90 DoW/DoM jobs, and you've most likely actually gotten the caster gear from even the 87 at least. Heck even the 89 BLM job gear Tataru lovingly made for you would've even done a lot better than the Cryptlurker you had on, which would've actually helped blow up the mobs faster. You've probably gone and made her cry too saying it was ugly. You heartless monster. Cold, cruel, and heartless.

WAR: I love you, you were amazing on those fat pulls, you let me have my blood lilies and staggered your Vengeance with my Holy spam for maximum donk, take my cookie.

I have died a little so many times from watching DNC use step poorly. So much damage just offered up to empty space.

How do people feel about tanks not deliberately standing in stuff to complete a wipe and reset the boss when the healer dies (and the tank isn't WAR)? I'll humbly accept that on Anima (Tower of Babil) I was a bit too proud to fall over and kill myself when the healer died in the first few seconds - one DD died soon after, but the NIN stayed alive with me. We phased the boss, and NIN died to the claw that follows you around. And... I still refused to die. I was slowly regenerating health, I know the mechanics by heart so didn't have issues, but I could see the Chaos bar going up to the point that I knew I won't meet the DPS check. People released earlier, and it definitely took me an ice age... Is this something I shouldn't do?

Personally I've never had anyone mad at me for dueling the boss. If anything they rather enjoy the show...

However most would just eat the death to get the group back together to finish it. However if they have like 20% health left...I'm going to duel it regardless how the others feel.
