Having cross-data-center queues would resolve these sorts of issues entirely, but who knows when/if that will ever happen.
In the meantime, the only options we have are visit other data centers to queue there, or wait for an eternity.

This is really, really necessary at this point. It makes me wonder if DC travel is harming Dynamis more than it's helping with how things are currently.
I've done what I can to help activity on my DC, but I worry that the DC itself may simply become a hub for housing and other activities that can't be done off DC, while roulettes, duties in general and shopping is done while travelling to other DCs.

So... is this implying that DC Travel is actually bad for a new DC in the long term? Kind of makes me look at Materia which is in the exact opposite position ATM. I read all the posts asking for cross-region so that it can flourish... but the reality is that aside from buying up the houses, there's not as much incentive to move away from a long-standing DC to a new one. This is really, really necessary at this point. Mortal Fist
Hard to compare us to Materia when Materia is the only Oceanic DC. Not to mention we're a NA DC, perhaps the group you'd expect the most from outside of the Japanese.So... is this implying that DC Travel is actually bad for a new DC in the long term? Materia is on its own and has issues with getting people to move over.
I guess this leads up to another question. Is the FFXIV userbase a bit stale? That would explain the difficulty in getting people to move over. People are tied down, set in their ways.
I think that's typical of any group, not just XIV players. Again, we're late in a patch cycle. A lot of accounts are dormant. I think things will pick up by the end of the year.Hard to compare us to Materia when Materia is the only Oceanic DC.
