If someone was part of any kind of organized activity, such as a raid static or a more casual group that gets together to run content, they're likely still returning to their old data center to hang out with friends.

The last time a new data center was added in North America, they moved existing worlds onto it instead of just adding new ones.

That's understandable.

One thing that has been bothering me though is stuff like the road to 80 buff. Apparently you can visit other servers/DCs and it stays active, which is weird to me. Shouldn't it remain on the server to promote people staying there and using it there?

It'd also help if maybe we gave roulettes on new servers/DCs a bonus too.

Yes, most came to Dynamis for housing. Yes, people have lives that exist outside of Dynamis still such as friends, statics, rp jobs, etc. There's also just the reality that pvp is not that popular and the DCs that can get quick queues with it are already established. If the point is to just get your daily Frontline over and done with, I don't see an issue with going cross-DC for it. Otherwise just have to wait for official runs to be announced.

Also, the only queues I've noticed struggling is expert (because a lot of the alts here are still getting through MSQ) and Aglaia (probably for the same reason as above).

Yeah I see a lot of Dynamis Travelers over here for purchasing market goods and getting their queues done in a timely manner. It's almost like most of the dynamis population just went there for an easy house but didn't actually care to play the game on that datacenter or something.

I think people are used to blowing through new content in a week. Somehow that's supposed to translate into a population boom on new worlds that came up during a slow time of year.

Party finder in Dynamis is usually empty. Not “quiet”, not “a few parties”. Nothing. Zero parties.

If you’re correct, then we’ll see in a month’s time and I’ll come back to your post. However, that still does not remove the need for cross-DC parties. Once they eventually do add the feature—and they will—will you advocate for the feature to be removed, deeming it unnecessary?

Late August was the original target date for the Dynamis launch, which would've put it right up against patch 6.2. Things would have started off much better if it happened at the start of a major patch. Here we are in November with the holidays approaching. I think as we get closer to 6.3 we'll start to see people coming back and maybe even shift over there.

It never is.

Anyways, to touch on cross-data-center queues, it's not something you'd want. It ultimately destroys the sense of community you share with others on the same data center. Just allow time for Dynamis to fill with more players and the issue with long queues will resolve itself.
