Hard to compare us to Materia when Materia is the only Oceanic DC. Not to mention we're a NA DC, perhaps the group you'd expect the most from outside of the Japanese.

Materia is on its own and has issues with getting people to move over.

I guess this leads up to another question. Is the FFXIV userbase a bit stale? That would explain the difficulty in getting people to move over. People are tied down, set in their ways.

I think that's typical of any group, not just XIV players. Again, we're late in a patch cycle. A lot of accounts are dormant. I think things will pick up by the end of the year.

Now if there was a queue for standing in Uldah to wring your hands it'd be damn near instant.

Edit: On topic though, the limit "More than 30 minutes" is a self fulfilling prophecy though. If it extended to "More than 10 hours" people would see that and just drop. At least having "More than 30" some, maybe a full game, will try. So, I don't think they can change it without killing the games off completely.

Dynamis at primetime on a Friday night. Cross-DC parties would be a good thing. (In comparison, Crystal usually has a whopping ten parties at this hour for high-end content)
