Sure, but they have to replace it with something better.

Trains aren't really all that bad. It's nice to have a large scale activity with the community coming together to organize something that benefits the playerbase overall. Scouters, relayers and those who run the discords put in a lot of work for others for little gain. I'd encourage that, but actually build towards it, instead of having a vague "we didn't intend you to share this too much" system that creates player animosity when it's clear a large number of players enjoy sharing and community spirit.

They could even do a mix of large scale hunts and hunts intended for smaller parties so everyone gets something.

I don't know, I like a good discussion, criticism or even grumble and some discussions lead into strong disagreements, but personally there's very, very few people I'd say I "don't like" on the forum.
