Because every other job followed the normal rules of their games, BLU never did. BLU has always twisted the rules to a point where it has often been declared a gamebreaker just due to how powerful those enemy skills can be.Blue Mage's entire thing is to be able to use enemy skills, the Learn mechanic just ensures you keep those skills rather than drawing out of them and fail to learn them. That's it. That's all there is to it. Blue Mage didn't have to be a minigame. But people couldn't get past the way the traditional version worked, and the traditional version cannot obviously be added without modification. And overall I don't get why people are so resistant to modifying this one job when we've done the same for so many others.




You could say the same for Dark Knight, Summoner, and various other iterations of these classes across the franchise. Enough.
