I don't understand why some items can be gifted and others can't. Was thinking of gifting the new mount to a friend but can't.

Yeah I can understand all those issues, too

But I really like gifting things to my friends because I just-- like doing so.
I work hard for my money and I personally don't feel like I can spend it on much myself, except i splurge in commissions or buy myself an outfit sometimes.

The friendlist thing is good, they can even increase the amount of time somebody has to be in the friendlist for all I care.
But crippling EVERYBODY because of RMT just feels meh.

Yeah it's kinda bothersome. I got Sleipnir mount and a panda minion as a birthday gift and also gifted a long-time friend the fat cat minion 'cuz they love those.
I hope they aren't intent on keeping them permanently restricted like this.

It's frustrating for me. My husband and I play this game together. When we get something new on the mogstation, we'll often gift something or the same thing to the other. So, like the new mount. My plan was to log into my account, buy it for myself, and then buy it again as a gift for my husband who in game has been my friend for 2041 days. Nope, not anymore. YOU CAN'T EVEN GIFT THE WEDDING ITEMS! 90% of the time I would buy whatever he wanted through my mogstation as a gift and give him the code. It was easier as we use one of my bank accounts for FFXIV. It's my name primarily on the bank account. It's my name on the bank cards since my hubby doesn't know how to budget. Honestly, they should have just made it so you could gift friends on your list, but not limit the items.

~Eternal Bond (Weddings)
~Fashion Accessories

Anything that you pop and doesn't show in your inventory or puts other items in your inventory. But you can gift:
~Fantasias
~Outfits
~Housing items
~Dyes
~Story/Job/Retainers skips

But me gifting things usually goes like this:
Yo tell me what you want <- till it gets said, mostly for clothes and annoy so long until i get an answer OR
Me just dropping the giftcode out of nowhere with no context

Both are fun to do if i'm being honest and now that option for me is completely gone.
Now I have to give money and say for what it is

And all the giveaways from nice people can't be done now :C
