I would love to see some sort of Eureka & Bozja revival but some in the community were vocal about how they didn't like Bozja or Eureka. Which is a shame because Bozja/Zad was my favorite part of the game last year, especially finally clearing DRS and getting Cerby. Eureka was also apparently really fun too when it was current from those I talked to about it.

I still want to try Eureka but with the rampant bot infestation in the later areas, it's been making me hold back. Don't want to deal with impossible FATEs or not even getting to participate in certain ones because they take up most or all of the spots for it. The early zones are still doable apparently.

No it's not. Every time I have been in there since Shadowbringers released, it has had 20 or more people in. More recently it's been more like 40. In Hydatos I've even seen over 100 because of BA, but it's not all just people doing BA. In all of the times I've been in, it's been real people who have been talking about the NMs they are spawning or trying to invite me to a party when I'm trying to solo.

You might claim it would do better if they supported it.. and maybe if they'd continued it'd be a little livelier. But in general the FFXIV playerbase isn't about that old school punishment and danger.

It doesn't need to do better than it did. It was full of people and I had a blast doing it. It's one of the most fun things in the whole game. I would love another place just like Eureka, but another place like Bozja would be alright too, Bozja was just much quicker to get through so it generated less social interaction that's all.

Like I said.. you enjoy what you enjoy. But in general people did it for the rewards, once if at all, then abandoned it. You don't make more content for a fraction of a fraction of your playerbase. Especially when that content is basically another one of your games anyway.

Eureka was quite popular in its day, though there are many on the forums who would attempt to convince people otherwise. It's a pity they opted for quests alone for the EW relic instead of another zone like it.

Yeah. I didn't like Anemos, but I felt Eureka had potential still, so I was cautiously optimistic about Pagos. I had hoped that they would improve upon the first zone a bit. Oh boy was I wrong. Pyros was basically Anemos 2.0 but with easier access to NMs. Still didn't like Eureka then, but it was without a doubt an improvement over Pagos as far as zone design and enemy placement was concerned. The random weapon stats though.... oof. I hated having to reroll my weapon chasing a good stat set. It was as if they learned how the players wanted to approach this content, but they decided to frustrate them anyway. When Hydatos came out, I was just...done. I got what I wanted and left. Came back after EW launch for the SMN relic, but I was able to skip most of the grind by having a lot of the materials already. Thank the Twelve for that.

This is in each individual area of the 4 Eureka areas, so if you add 20-40 together from each area it is actually a lot of people. This is across all hours too and I usually check in the least active hours. It is old content so it would be logical to expect it to have no more than 1-2 people in, but it's a lot more active than that usually.

I noped out of Eureka when it was current content. I just found the experience horrible. I refuse to touch it until it gets nerfed even more than it already has been so that I can steamroll my way through it for glams and triple triad cards. And if that never happens I'll just continue to pretend it doesn't exist. Same goes for Bozja.

The mobs are all still massive hp sponges. I was able to solo single mobs in Eureka when it first launched without any risk of dying. It just took a year and a day and it still feels just as bad now. Then there's the whole separate leveling system. I wanna be able to go in there as a lvl 90 (or higher), one or two shot packs of mobs with impunity, get my glams and TT cards, and gtfo. The original experience in Eureka was distasteful for me and remains so today. I don't want to be in there any longer than I have to be, and right now, how long I'd have to be in there is too long for me to be willing to subject myself to such an unpleasant experience.

I'm not saying that content like Eureka and Bozja shouldn't exist. With Bozja having alternatives for relic progression in the initial phases I thought there was hope, but then I hit the point where you just couldn't take the weapon any further without doing Bozja itself and I stopped there. I'm just really bitter that two expansions worth of relic weapon content (which I had gotten used to being content "for me" due to ARR and HW relics), is gated behind content I abhor with no alternative way to get them, and I feel the same about all the triple triad cards and associated achievements that I can't get because the NPC's you play against for those cards are inaccessible for triple triad until you advance through the Eureka/Bozja content.

No, I'd rather live without the glams and TT cards (which means I'll never be able to finish my TT collection or certain TT achievements since some cards/npcs are locked behind doing the bulk of Eureka/Bozja) than to spend my precious game time doing things I don't enjoy. As I said, if Eureka and Bozja never reach a point where I can just solo steamroll my way through them at a pace I find palatable, I'll just continue to pretend they don't exist. The aggravation just isn't worth it otherwise.

I haven't touched much Eureka these months but last time i spent a lot of time in Pagos trying to get the elusive Cassie Earrings and Blitz Ring. Those weeks were probably the most social i had compared the rest, most of the talk were about spawn time but people joked around, knew each other and so on.

There was a day i was alone in a fresh instance with Fog, the moment i spawned the NM for BlitzRing the whole instance filled which i had to warn that it woud die in less than 5 seconds.
I do not know how bad the bot problem is now in Light DC, i have seen small groups before...

That.. is not anything like what I said. Inside an MMO, if group content doesn't at least have a few "filled" instances and they fill as they are created, it's dying or dead content. FFXIV is fine. Eureka has passed it's living and "live" period and is a bot town on most servers. Some people still play it, but it's not deserving of more attention right now as far as player interest levels.

I wouldn't consider partially filled instances "active". Considering the "endgame" area climax raid requires manual organization to run, I think it's not running at the capacity it was supposed to, just fostering the few brave souls who learned about the rewards and are slogging that challenge grind.
