Of course you don't mind Zepla and thinks those other two are "cringe", which is a childish vague term people use when they have nothing substantial to say.
She's the biggest shill for XIV, down to attacking people who have issues with the game, while Xeno and Brian have bad things to say occasionally.

Brian however most of the time has been optimistic towards the game while Xenosys can be a bit of a manchild stuck in his edgy teen years forever. So I'm surprised Brian is quitting.

It's clear that he left for

    1. His family/lack of time for ff14.

    2. Enjoying games other then ff14.

if you like him or not is irrelevant, to the bigger picture, theirs a reason why people don't feel as much as a spark anymore especially old time players, because of how safe and homogenization was Endwalkers design, I understand people like it also but a lot of the changes caused burn out.

Also "toxic positivity" in terms of how people are using it maybe not the actual definition

I believe refers to people always defending design choices and the game despite its flaws, it's ok to love the game but want changes.

Did you know that 2.0 happened because those that stayed in 1.0 had so much copium that things will get better.

    Just food for thought.
Heres food for thought, harsh reality in fact.

You are on a camping trip, make a mistake, portage across a river , realise you are now 50 km from where you started, its getting dark, its getting cold and you discover your compass is broken.

    What do you do.

You are on a walking trip and get separated from your friends, night is falling, you are lost, your phone wont work and you need to survive till morning, because only an idiot tries to navigate the bush at night with no directional help and no map. You have no camping gear, no tent,. no tarps, no food no water

    What do you do.

Heres step one: maintain a positive mindset and think on how you will get out of this alive, you dont let the negative emotions or fear get the better of you.

According to that article, thats "toxic positivity"

According to me thats called "I dont want to be a corpse so I will be positive and find a way to survive overnight"

Yes, it's ok to the love the game but want changes, but if you're going to tell the developers what they are doing wrong then you should also tell them what they are doing right.

Otherwise it comes across as what we could call "toxic negativity". Always being negative about the game despite its good points.

In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

Note how this sentence contradicts itself.

BTW that first sentence is even more stupid when in a survival situation, keeping a positive mindset tends to keep you alive. Those who throw up their hands and say "I give up this is hopeless" are usually found dead.

Its a buzzphrase that has been thrown around here so often it isnt funny, even the ones who use it cant define it.
FFXIV isn't a survival situation where lives are at risk.

For sure I've always said I've liked a lot of changes, a lot of them have been positive for sure, this expansion has been very mixed for me overall, I get annoyed because theirs so many good things like a new example is adding hard dungeons + exploring ones, but having a negative basically no reward for doing the harder dungeons. In general though I'm pretty happy about the new form of content.

You generally see more negative "news/videos/comments" because they're the most vocal group, does it mean its wrong for them to be unhappy about a change they don't like no it doesn't, aslong as they're being constructive and not attacking people personally (I take big issue with how people act towards the devs sometimes).

We need to be mindful that it's ok to be positive or negative about a video game, what changes you'd like or not.

Saying this is a clumsy comparison would be generous.

I mean, if you're not having fun anymore then you can leave. You shouldn't force yourself to play a game that, for you, used to be fun but is now only boring. Same thing happened to me with the first Overwatch. (I haven't even played the second because I don't trust Blizzard's decision-making skills.)

FFXIV is incredibly fun to me and I still have so many things to get done in it. The only problem is that I can't no-life it because of college courses. :P

I don't know who the youtuber is, since I avoid FFXIV content creators like the plague, but my advice to "The community has changed," would be to just simply not interact with said community. Just do your own thing in-game and avoid communicating with people in or outside of it, such as social media. Just treat it like a regular video game and I think you'd notice your enjoyment would rise. And if the gameplay is still not fun, then I would unsub, if I were you. Just a game. You don't owe your life to it or anything lol.
