Now you're just making stuff up, because it's pretty obvious to see that I full cleared last tier and have the mount from it. Didn't do this tier because my static imploded but that's a whole different story.I don't clear savage at all, aside from when I did blue mage. Ya'll are bad enough in extremes on PF and I don't care to try and find a decent static anymore. It's not worth the stress. What I even do has little to do with anything. I at least play the game.
but while we're peeking, where are your final extreme mounts or your morbol mount? (Let me guess, "this is an alt") You're a sprout and you're trying to call me out on my own activities which clearly outdo your own.
EDIT: This is not a flex. This is calling out hypocrisy.
610 gear is not that hard to obtain, you know.Even from a casual perspective, when you are not raiding at all, it's not great.
i dont do high end stuff in FF 14, but have LOADS of exp in other MMO's, raided mythic, heroic over the years, so I DO know WITHOUT having to do it here. I probably know more than you do from that past experience. Then stop acting like you know literally anything about how raiding or gearing for high-end content works.
There goes that misconception.

If raiding experience in other MMOs is so applicable to this one, then Deveryn clearly hasn't done actual raiding in other MMOs either. If he did, basic concepts from this game wouldn't be so foreign to him. (either that, he's so tone deaf that he apparently doesn't understand the basic idea of wanting gear of a higher ilv, or his experience from other MMOs isn't applicable to begin with) The point still stands. Deveryn has no idea what he's talking about.
True.

It is, yes.If raiding experience in other MMOs is so applicable to this one.
Wrong, the principles are the same, iteration and specific processes are a separate matter entirely. There are specific principles and dynamics that apply across the board, base game design and paradigms havent changed that much over the years.or his experience from other MMOs isn't applicable to begin with
Things like ilevel creep, tuning are also a factor, then we get into the matrices of gear vs class balance vs encounter design and it gets...complicated..to put it mildly.
Gaming at its core has certain..patterns....that underlie all design criteria, of which high end raiding is but one part. it is, in fact a MUCH bigger picture, each of which has to be applied and balanced accordingly.
Coarse and then fine tuning is an exacting process...at times it can be..infuriating. Nothing is ever perfect, nor can it ever be..thats its nature.
I submit you know far less than you imagine.

I sure do love when a new tier drops and basically all but one of my jobs becomes unplayable due to how much of a pain it is to gear them all to an even satisfactory level.
I don't think there is anything wrong with how long it takes to gear up one job. If alts are the problem, they could make it so the savage tokens and tomestones unlock the ability to get any piece of equipment of the same category for free. Pay 495 tomes to unlock all tome hand gear, for example. Then obtain it like the level 90 artifact gear.
But then you say shit like you don't need experience from this game to know the inner workings of its raiding scene. Why don't you apply your own advice?
I dont. Read my earlier post again. But then you say shit like you don't need experience from this game to know the inner workings of its raiding scene. Why don't you apply your own advice?
This part in specific:
FF 14's scene is to deal with iteration and process, the base design principles have not changed, regardless of what game it is.Wrong, the principles are the same, iteration and specific processes are a separate matter entirely. There are specific principles and dynamics that apply across the board, base game design and paradigms havent changed that much over the years.

Something I've noticed for a long time now, is that the issues people often seem to have, are entirely self inflicted. You all bring these problems on yourselves.
