SSS parses are...questionable at best, for more than a few reasons. They are good for a number of things; practicing an opener for instance, due to the ability to quickly set all your abilities on cooldown. They cease being useful at a point both because they are just a dummy and because they have a hard stop at 3 minutes; this prevents a job from being able to practice a full rotation up to 4 or even 6 minutes.
EDIT: That site, btw? It used a parser to get the information it uses to calculate your HP, since nothing in-game tells you how much HP an enemy has.
This makes them a good gauge of DPS for a 3 minute fight, but it means that beyond that scope it's not very useful at all especially when mechanics are added in.
For one, job discrimination already happens. PLD and WAR were kept out so hard that SE had to buff them. For two, any actual harassment performed would, just as it is now, be a bannable offense.100% if they added one in the game PF's would demand a certain dps number and would put even more stigma on certain jobs for no reason whatsoever.
This just seems like whining to me, honestly. People have and will always be choosy about who they go into hard content with, and whatever else FireMage has said, he is right that that selectivity already happens with FFLogs. Its already bad enough with people in PF putting ilvl requirements waaaaay above the ilvl even needed for fights. The last thing we need is people setting dps requirements that would 100% be higher than the needed dps to clear
That's also ignoring that the request was for a dps tracker, not for an FFLog equivalent. Only way they'd know your past damage would be through already available means. You'd have to already be in and running for a dps tracker to see your current damage.
I doubt this would happen in DF. If the goal is speed, kicking someone no matter who objectively makes the run slower. You'd see a rise in DPS whining in Tales from DF possibly, though.people getting kicked from old dungeons because they dare not to keep up with the overgeared player.
And I've seen 10 years of people jumping at every possible shadow that toxicity could creep in that they've become toxic to gatekeep out any element they could consider toxic. This is how we get the GCBTW effect.I've seen more than my fair share of crap from toxic people in WoW. We don't need that here, especially since a parser is really not necessary in this game.
Not saying anything about that, but geeze dude that's a bit irrelevant innit? Then again, I just realized I'm arguing with the same person who thinks MCH should remain trash because its "easy" to play, so arguing with you is a waste of time.
