Just me posting my thoughts, honestly.

I don't do Savage so you may consider this with a grain of salt.
If you plan on raiding casually, I wouldn't worry too much about job balance or picking the absolute best dps job for it. Things will get adjusted in time. Sometimes they fix 1 job, and then they messed up another. To me it's just needless stress unless you're aiming for week 1 or week 2 clear when it was new. It's more important to pick the ones that you are comfortable playing and optimize from there.

Truth be told, I'm looking to learn and gear for Savage so I can start grinding to get the Eden mount; it was one of the few Sin-Eater mounts available, and I was looking to grab it for the sake of a glamour I was trying to make.

If this is your sole purpose, you can unsync E12S with just normal raid /crafted gear.
Me and my friends just got ours last week. We could almost skip Junction Titan in Phase 1 already. Better group can definitely skip altogether (we managed to get at 0.1% but the mechanic started so we just had to wait and resolve it correctly). For Phase 2 you only need to study up until Basic Relativity. Boss is dead before it could do Intermediate Relativity.
