I do agree that there are options. I'm just not sure WHAT the Dev team is going for. For all we know, they want to remove the DoTs we have but just haven't figure out what to replace them with.

I do agree that there are a lot of silly choices in game, though. Like WAR self-buffs its damage. The buff goes on the WAR. Why does RPR's not work that way? Why do PLD and GNB oGCD AOE damage attacks have DoTs? Why does GNB have the single target DoT but on a 60 sec CD? (At least in PLD's case, not overwriting the DoT but maintaining 100% uptime or as close as possible is part of its rotation, but GNB is just "press this button during No Mercy then wait a minute and...do it again"; if it was replaced with just a hit of damage, would it really be that different?)

I think that reflects that issue of the Devs not having decided what they really are going to do, though. The problem is, they need to decide already. And for the love of all that's holy, would it KILL them to not have ONE healer that isn't DoT based? Casters have RDM, Tanks have WAR, but if you're a healer and dislike DoTs, there's no Job in the game for you to play other than...WAR, I guess, or maybe RDM? Which aren't healers!
