I will have a hearty laugh if the min ilvl for Zurv Unreal makes it so that soar is unskippable. It would be glorious, lol.If people are having this much trouble with Sephirot, these forums are going to be on fire when Zurvan Unreal happens. I'm not even sure what exactly people are struggling with in Sephirot, he's not all that mechanically difficult and the bulk of his mechanics have appeared in other fights since Heavensward. People not knowing how to do the bait before the knockbacks is the only thing I can think of that'd really trip people up, as people might initially be afraid of standing in a big blue instakill marker to bait the AOEs.
I don't care anymore. My seething anger from week one has waned to simmering disdain and I've washed my hands of it. I'll just wander through Hello Kitty Island Adventure and my daily roulettes for the next 2mo until Criterion Dungeons inevitably turn into 4-man Sav (already hearing it will have a 620+ entry req) and I am truly fed up.
Just let this thread die.
All evidence to contrary.
If you think the fight should be easily cleared, you're actually part of the problem. As you lack the patience required to progress a fight of this caliber with seven other randos. What is easy about this fight, is how easy it is to screw up, and how quickly that screw up can turn the tide of the fight into an unsalvageable one.I think the problem is is that groups tend not to weed out the bad players and just disband instead, and start the process all over again until they get lucky. If you have someone in your group that fails to listen and causes several wipes you replace them instead or trying to kill 3 hours with them..
It's not cleared easily because the fight, whether you choose to acknowledge it or not, is difficult. It does not cleared at all because of player attitude.
I can't wait for the return of "Skip Soar or Disband." The meme, the myth, the legend. If people are having this much trouble with Sephirot, these forums are going to be on fire when Zurvan Unreal happens. Crit dungeons will have a normal and savage mode.I don't care anymore. My seething anger from week one has waned to simmering disdain and I've washed my hands of it. Savage will have rivives disbaled, enemies power up if not killed fast enough, if the party wipes all enemies respawn. Among other rules..

I hope people make 5/6 dps comps again just to find out that they can't skip it, that would truly bring me back to when I used to run it and the team would still fail the dps check (for skipping).
Yes. It's not all that difficult mechanically. From my experience in (failed) A2C groups, people start messing up during:I'm not even sure what exactly people are struggling with in Sephirot, he's not all that mechanically difficult and the bulk of his mechanics have appeared in other fights since Heavensward. People not knowing how to do the bait before the knockbacks is the only thing I can think of that'd really trip people up, as people might initially be afraid of standing in a big blue instakill marker to bait the AOEs.
(1) wind adds: Lots of visual effects happening. Caster LB3, Sephirot's AOE, Yesod, and some people forget to move out from it.
(2) when it loops back to the first mechanic: At least 1 person always forget to move out after baiting Yesod. And thus, can lead to 1 less person for green tethers.
Some people tend to start lose focus at the loop especially after several pulls in. Gotta keep those feet moving.
True. Mechs in the second half of the fight happens quickly in succession. I've attempted a few healer LB3 to try and save it but it was never successful.
And in one of my pulls, everything went pretty clean and we were confident getting the clear.
Until a summoner forget to stack at the wind and get knocked off the platform right before enrage.
Wipe at 0.2%. >: (
