Well what makes you think those glams dont fit the world? Because if that point doesnt hold, all we're left with is you not liking those glams because you have different taste.
Looking like a level 15 NPC is cool for the people who want that, but I like all kinds of outfits whether it's casual, modern, futuristic, job themed, etc.. it's all more options to choose from. You can mix and match pieces to make a glamour all your own. It all fits in-universe as well.

Completely agree. The last glam that actually looked in place was the Cloth of Happiness set.
They have made these gross casual fashion sets for some time now and I am rather tired and bored of them.
While I don't expect actual armor, if we could go back to the regional attire from the nations like the various Thavnair sets we've gotten, that would be great. I feel like XIV is going the wow route now where its a fantasy game pretending to be a dystopian future/scifi.
I'd also like the artifact sets to not be the same thing again and again and get some fresh takes on job gear instead. Imagine if this expansion, we saw Thavnarian takes on all the jobs. Or maybe a take on the jobs from a specific Final Fantasy, like FFX inspired BLM/WHM/WAR/etc.
I used to be an adventurer, but then my ping increased.
So we're just going to pretend that the recent patch didn't add 4 really nice armor sets in the form of the dungeon, crafted, tome and raid armor? You know you can use those for glamour too right? Hell, if you weren't aware of that, you might be surprised to learn that every patch adds new armor sets that you can also use as glamour.
That's always the case.So we're just going to pretend that the recent patch didn't add 4 really nice armor sets in the form of the dungeon, crafted, tome and raid armor? You know you can use those for glamour too right? Hell, if you weren't aware of that, you might be surprised to learn that every patch adds new armor sets that you can also use as glamour. They could add 20 sets like that and people like OP would be seething if there was another set with jeans.
I have to say I'm loving the 6.2 style. I have a tendency to glam over things with the "offensive / immersion breaking" style, but I actually found a whole set I'm probably going to leave alone (crafted aiming).
I agree. It's a little weird. I think it's for the sake of some level of realism. (see: survival shirt vs. extreme survival)
