Can we please have better Glamour?

We got some new Glamour Sets with Endwalker, they all have the same style and none of them fit into this game. They're all way too modern.

Buttoned Varsity Set : It looks out of another Game and not FFX 14. The Textures looks cheap, same with the Colors. No matter how you dye this Set, it gets not better. The Shoes are to modern, has someone seen an NPC with Shoes and knitted Socks like that? Me not! And the little Hat, fresh robbed out of a 1980 France.

Varsity Set : Well the Jacket, the Pants, the Shoes, just everything is so wrong looking on that Set. It fits not in this Game. The Trousers looks for all Glamours the same since Endwalker. And all has this bad color choices. This Jacked with that knitted Pullover, are we still in FFX 14?

Appointed Set : The Pants looks like cheap Pants fresh robbed from Barbie or Ken. And the Shoes, jesus who has made them? So ugly.

Street Top Attire Set : The whole Set ugly like hell, even if many bought this Set. It looks like wannbe cool Kid, which doesn't know that this Stuff is not cool.

Street Jacket Attire Set : Sport Bra for female Chars ... how does fit in this Game? The rest same like the other Set.

Isle Farmhand's Widebottoms Set : The Pants looks like all other Pants we got since Endwalker, the Hat on top of the Shirt ... cheap. We can't even wear that Hat.

Isle Farmhand's Set : This one looks like straight out of a Y.M.C.A. Music Video. Those little Scarfs around the Arm, the Leg ... no way that this is the Future of this Game. Who has I to sue for the Eye Cancer I get from this?

Is it really that hard to make glamor that fits this world, this game?

But presumably the time spent modeling / working on those sets could be used for ones that actually fit into the world instead.

The issue with this logic also is that there's no particular player who is "owed" that design time. If you don't like set A and instead want set B, there will be people who'd complain that they didn't get set C, or set D. There will always be contrasting opinions on the quality of sets. What is instead a better discussion is about unexplored or shallowly explored glamour design space. What do we not have a lot of and can use more of?

Agreed. I hate the vast majority of the modern/glam sets. If I wanted to dress like that I'd be playing The Sims and not a eastern fantasy MMORPG. The more of this crap they release, the more they dilute the games identity. Not good for long term health. Look at other MMOs from the past who initially took themselves seriously, and then started putting Schoolgirl outfits in the cash shop (the vast majority are dead now). This is less likely to be the case for XIV considering it's SE's premier cash cow, but still something to keep in mind.

Exactly. I feel that they deliver enough to please both sides.

I don't think most of the casual glams we get don't fit the game's aesthetic either... It may not fit some specific place, but they certainly do for some others, sometimes we even see NPCs wearing that kind of stuff.

All styles are fair game in XIV. We even have mascots, but no one wants to talk about that. It's always the street casual stuff.

Don't forget the futuristic Tron and cyber suits and the fact the Garleans have cars. I think "casual" clothing fits just fine in the game. I'd like to see more of it.
