Don't forget the futuristic Tron and cyber suits and the fact the Garleans have cars. I think "casual" clothing fits just fine in the game. I'd like to see more of it.

They really do have a strange obsession with attaching a bunch of random clutter to otherwise decent pieces, usually around/below the waste.

This topic is always so funny because "doesnt fit this world" doesnt make sense when this game is 87% Past Reference Final Fantasy Fanservice.
We've had ingame events for ff13 and 15, hardly hi-fantasy games.
The glam designers are very aware modern style ff like 7, 8, and 10 are their most popular games (well 8 sold more copies than 7 on release anyway). They know many ff fans are also big fans of kingdom hearts, also very not hi-fantasy. The characters styles are wildly popular and used at every cosplay event in existence.
We always could get more renaissance style fantasy gear (we just did via Rinascita gear) but ff1-6 are hardly hot tickets for cosplay in comparison. The lv1 all class glam designers are catering to whats popular and dressing like lotr and game of thrones extras aint it.

High Fantasy just means fantasy that takes place in a world that's not the real world. So 13 and 15 are absolutely high fantasy. Low Fantasy would be something like The World Ends with You, which we haven't seen any glam inspiration from.

Completely agree. The last glam that actually looked in place was the Cloth of Happiness set.
They have made these gross casual fashion sets for some time now and I am rather tired and bored of them.
While I don't expect actual armor, if we could go back to the regional attire from the nations like the various Thavnair sets we've gotten, that would be great. I feel like XIV is going the wow route now where its a fantasy game pretending to be a dystopian future/scifi.

I'm not found of all these new casual glamours either. So far ( at least for me) EW has been the worst expansion glamour wise. I have nothing to farm. I've been using the same glamours for almost a year now, with the exception of the last summer event sandals.

The problem with these sort of things is that it is highly subjective. For every person that dislikes the glam options in EW there's another who loves them. I personally over half of my glam plates set with glam items that were added with EW, with the chest piece portion being the biggest thing from EW. Not to mention the weapons.

Street Top Attire Set : The whole Set ugly like hell, even if many bought this Set. It looks like wannbe cool Kid, which doesn't know that this Stuff is not cool.

Yeah i didnt like how the top looks with that little stupid cape in the back and those “what are thooooooooooose?” shoes lol I wear it and mixed it with Prince Lucian shirt or Casual top and casual shoes xD
