They already are useful in their own right... in which case it IS time to add the incap/BR usefulness tactics in
Lol, This WAR is better than any job bull, is retarded, there will always be a Job that will be the "best in a certain area". That's always a fact. But this talk saying, hey Warrior is better so you screw every other DD job but WAR is the most retarded thing I have ever heard :/.
WAR builds TP pretty slow. Slow AA and no Invigorate. That slone offsets many of its perks. I really think all the melees are balanced very well.

You know what I think? I think this Thread has lost it's Marbles!
"Unbelievable wipes... indescribable failings. Whining, bitching, rage quitting - through an endless party find." - Doho, A Whole New Whorl
Well hopefully job balances will fix this when/if they come.
Honestly I haven't been able to play Dragoon nearly as often as I would like because I'm stuck on Black Mage in Cutter's Cry and looking at being stuck on Monk in Aurum Vale.
I will say that when I did play DRG in Cutter's Cry it was super useful during the princess fight. Leg Sweep and Ring of Talons destroy the ant soldiers while keeping constant DPS on the princess.
Chimera was a bit of a challenge though....close range melee are punished for trying to fight Chimera making ranged/magic jobs more useful in the fight. Never mind the fact that speed runs are so much easier when you just spam BLM/BRD....Safe spots can easily be found to avoid Voice of the Dragon while remaining outside of the draw in ability.
I feel like encounters with bosses need to be balanced better by adding more variety of attacks. The fact that you can stand in the same spot every single encounter with Chimera and KNOW you won't die is a bit stupid and destroys any credibility close range melee could have over Ranged/Magic which is just as detrimental as particular jobs being all around better than others.
I want all jobs to be viable through proper job balancing AS WELL AS encounter balancing.
sigh war whmx2 ranged DDx5 is by no means the only way to do things there are other ways that involve melee like drg/mnk etc just that its easy and from what ive seen a lot of people like easy over anything else its really getting to me i hope se releases a fight where no class/job is preferred over there other, like a fight where ranged are in just as much danger of dying as melee, or a boss that changes resistances like for a few moments he resists ranged/magic dps and only close ranged can dmg him etc

Here is the issue....
All three classes can do damage and 1 (or multiple) other thing(s) well
So look at it like math
A = A set amount of damage potential
B = Tanking
A + B = WAR
A + C = DRG
A + D = MNK
At this point... all that needs to happen is B = C = D and all classes are equal....
So DRG has to be as good at its secondary thing as WAR is at tanking... and that thing needs to be as useful as WAR's tanking
So C = TP generation, More effective ways to stun than WAR has and enmity reduction
and D = increased TP generation, Speed, Speed, Speed, Elemental Fists (Which are INSANELY USEFUL... maybe the most underrated thing in the game right now) and also more stuns than WAR has
So if B =/= C =/= D then they are at least very close
Honestly, yea, I think WAR is a little overpowered at the moment.
