Rescue is Griefing

I use rescue to yank my friends off cliffs when ever possible…. But hey I’m the healer and we are going to win anyway. I don’t do it in savage raids. But anywhere else sure. People take the game to serious sometimes. Me murdering a friend, it’s my mp that has to raise and cure them back up. I actually got voted out of a run for yanking my gf between byregots fingers.

Aye I wouldn't count when you are running with your mates, one of the ones we run with loves to do it to us but sure if you think you are gonna get yeeted just hit arms length or surecast and you're fine. It's funny when it's with people you know.

In my experience randomers only rescue you because they think you are not safe and you might get hit when you otherwise wouldn't but I wouldn't call that trolling just good intentions. Yeah it is kinda annoying and I wish you could disable it but it's so rare and was just an innocent mistake most of the time so who cares.

Just now in Alphascape 1, the other healer, who btw kept standing in bad so I already had to res them once and heal them plenty, decided that my safe spot on to other side of the map to theirs wasn't good enough, and rescued me, of course bringing me right into the center of the bad and killing me.
But it totally must have been me being bad and they were just fixing my mistakes.

Had my co-healer “rescue” me out from a rock in the King Behemoth fight in LotA, killing us both. When I asked if they really just did that, the reply was “oops”. When another party member asked if they had rescued me to my death, my co-healer replied, “maaayyybeeeee”.

I didn’t know anyone in the party or alliance. I was on my sprout alt, and while I know this troll is the exception to the rule in the XIV community, years ago I didn’t. This is the kind of crap that caused me to step away from the game for years, and gave me terrible anxiety to use the duty finder when I was new.

I hate rescue. But as it has been stated many times, in good hands, it’s lifesaving. But just like anything, in the hands of a troll, it gets abused.

Each time I jump to the void I use Rescue to bring the second Healer with me This is the best way to use in my opinion

I dint use rescue at all anymore. Personal responsibility is something I think more people should be taught. I'll keep you alive to the best of my ability heal wise, but I'm not dragging you out of anything so you can learn what you did wrong.

Especially BLMs, ya'll are on your own. Either shield or die if you choose to not move for the sake of casting. I'm not gonna get yelled at for rescuing you out of a one shot because you were trying to do your rotation.

People care way too much about this, I think it only happened maybe once. Never happens in hardcore content, and in core who bloody cares the clear is guaranteed with it without you. If it somehow starts a domino effect that results in a wipe then that’s grounds for something bad. But that never happens, that stack marker or aoe most likely won’t kill you nor will the aoe that the healer pulled you into.

How about they remove rescue and then give healers attack combo like all other jobs have. I don't think it is even needed we was doing just fine before they added it.
