Just have to say some of the posts in this thread on the anti-rescue side have been hilarious.

The skill level it takes to greed in comparison to what the healer is doing when they evaluate a rescue isn't even close. Don't even go there. Not only are they paying attention to what they are doing, they are also paying attention what the other seven players are doing. Your position on the battlefield isn't some god-given right. Stop pretending it is.

Some people are simply more skilled than you, and are able to greed in a completely consistent and safe way because they know the content well. It should not be the place of someone who thinks maintaining uptime is "needlessly pushing damage" to ever make a decision about positioning for another player.

Actually if they've been observing and know the game well, it's very easy to get indicators on whether someone is a clown or not. Have they been popping buffs and debuffs in timely manners? Mitigation? Beein getting positionals? Or slidecasting? Prepositioning maybe? Do they have a dash in their toolkits? Things like that.

Keep flinging yourself at that fainting couch, there's *never* constructive discussions around Rescue on these boards that doesn't devolve into hilarious whining about "controlling meeeeeee" or "playing God".

It's a tool, much like the people who kick and scream about it. I've never been grief rescued because I don't stand in things.
