People who say "first time" in new content

I don't know how it is in NA, but where exactly do people farm EX? DF/PF? And is there an approved strat for everyone?

Oh no, party finder for sure on NA, but "farm" is a strong word. What happens often is people get carried into one clear so they start joining farm parties, or they clearly don't have the fight down enough to farm, and join farm parties. Then you are spending tens of hours hoping you can actually farm, etc.. It's a complete headache and massive time sink. The kind of time sink where you get nothing accomplished.

That's when you can even get to start joining farm parties, because, unless you get lucky with a party, you are most likely going to be spending tens of hours trying to get a clear through prog parties to begin with!

It's a short way of saying "Sorry, but I'm probably going to die in a loop" or "Explain me the mechanics".

I do this on my alt going through old content as well. She hit level 90 right at the end of 5.0 and is a tank, so I need to let the party know it's me that's new so they don't think I'm 90 and just suck, which risks getting me kicked.

Obvious? I wonder, how can you tell? the game doesnt mark nor tell you a name of whome hasn't partaken in said dungeon, Raid or boss. Enlighten us oh Mighty Saraswati.

I for one like to know whome is new to something, as I too inform those Im just partied with. at least they know that im not all knowing.

we who show Humility, seeking knowledge call out to our "gods" to better understand what tactics we're meant to use in said locations.

Old content, it's courtesy to tell you are doing it for the first time.

Actually, not everybody can play on patch day, so it should be true for two weeks max and after we can return to the old content things. But yeah, players souldn't expect people to know mechs before that time not everybody have the time to do all content first week... So if we're speaking of courtesy, the courtesy right now is to let people unlock the content at their pace on the first two weeks and not expecting them to know every mechs before...

Actually, I found it annoying that people feels that they have to tells their new on brand new content... To the point some people are telling it on patch day now...

Rhetorical question: I wonder what the reaction would be if, rather than say "I'm new" (which would be a lie) I were just to say "I'm not new but I AM crap at this"?
