People do this on the first day.Do people actually get that upset over content that's been out for barely a week now? That's kinda sad...
Actually do some people still have their sprout icon when they're at 6.2's content?
I guess that makes sense. Maybe I'm just stupid but I feel like people shouldn't expect everyone to have already done the content a week in.
I'm not a sprout, The Rising technically also celebrates when I started playing. As with a lot of vet players I've sorta dialled back the hardcore playstyle and often it's weeks or even months before I get to "current" content (minus crafting, that some day one sh!t for me) so I like to throw it out there in case the Tank (I'm a healer main) missed the chat log notice. It's usually well received, but I've also had Tanks drop party because of it. This community is usually pretty OK but there are some standout exceptions in regards to douchebaggery...Do people actually get that upset over content that's been out for barely a week now? Don't touch me there
Well yeah, I personally do all the new stuff every time maintenance ends, so I'm no stranger to that.

I don't really mind when people say first time a month or so after it's out, it's when it's not even been a week yet that confuses me.
If only people were so forthcoming about their progress in Unreal / EX / Savage.![]()
"First time" = I have not done this before, I may die or do mechanics wrong and kill everyone. Sorry in advance, especially if you HAVE done this already. You should probably give me a heads up if something I could do will wipe the party.
Even on the first day, unless you're playing right after the patch drops, it's probably a good time to give people a headsup that you are absolutely fresh to the content as people will have been running it all day if it's been out for more than a couple hours.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
Gotcha, I think the same applies. Typically on day one I don't bother mentioning it but on day two, you better believe it. Some ppl have the full patch done by the time most normal people get up and start the download. They expect we are the same I guess. I've definitely had some negative experiences before no joke..Well yeah, I personally do all the new stuff every time maintenance ends, so I'm no stranger to that.

Yes, we do, sadly we have inherited some players from another MMO to whom courtesy is not only alien, but have little patience with people and even less tact, coming from a game where screaming insults and raging is not only not moderated, but is encouraged.Do people actually get that upset over content that's been out for barely a week now? As one of them said a while back "If you havent cleared the hardest content in the first week, you suck, you're bad and we dont want you"
Even returning players have this issue, as a LOT of content has been changed, Prae for an example.
My usual reply is "Stick with us, relax, we got this."
Just wanna caution against painting everyone with the same brush. I recently spent about a year in an FC that was primarily transplants from "that game". With the exception of one or two everyone was courteous and generally pretty fantastic. I never played "that game" myself but I've heard the stories from those that did. I just like to judge ppl as they come fwiwYes, we do, sadly we have inherited some players from another MMO to whom courtesy is not only alien, but have little patience with people and even less tact, coming from a game where screaming insults and raging is not only not moderated, but is encouraged.

So it's kinda like a safeguard against people who get all pissy that new content isn't 100% smooth then? I think I get it!Gotcha, I think the same applies. I tend to say this when I am late on content for this specific reason, especially because I typically play WHM. I will frequently say "sorry" if I didn't play as optimally as well.
I still haven't done the last alliance raid for example. I never did the last Nier raid. I am one of those players that sometimes doesn't do certain content for awhile. I got all my drops in the latest raids the first time I did them. I have had no time to practice any of them. I don't doubt doing them next week I'd fail mechanics.
Often times my gear is out of date, and I am so late to the content I don't want to be a detriment to the group, so I just don't do it at all. My WHM right now is severely undergeared even, and I am currently questioning if I should even do the latest raids next week.As one of them said a while back "If you havent cleared the hardest content in the first week, you suck, you're bad and we dont want you"
