My sincerest apologies for not realizing everyone had already done Barbariccia and the Pandaemonium Abyssos raids before the patch went live. I won't make the same mistake again.
Hey OP, I answered you and so did others. Why do you ignore the obvious ones and go after b8? Are you really asking this in good faith? Are you sure you are not here to stir the pot? If you are, 7/10. Nice b8 m8, over 100 posts!
What it boils down to, Op, is that people are afraid of failure in this game. They consider even a single wipe the height of offense because their time is precious and most important above all. They have no time or patience for the inexperienced. They go in expecting a smooth, perfect run every time. This has conditioned other people into feeling that they have to explain to everyone that they're not perfect and might mess up. Even on day one.
Sadly, this is exactly my situation and reason for letting people know I'm the one/one of the ones in the group who are there for the first time or am inexperienced (2nd or 3rd run of new stuff or things I haven't done since the one MSQ run); especially since I main WAR on my alt. I attribute doing this to not encountering nastiness from tryhards or super impatient people. What it boils down to, Op, is that people are afraid of failure in this game. I'm sorry people have forced you into that. I'm far too old now to worry if some kid on the internet gets mad because I didn't see a tell and died.Sadly, this is exactly my situation and reason for letting people know I'm the one/one of the ones in the group who are there for the first time or am inexperienced (2nd or 3rd run of new stuff or things I haven't done since the one MSQ run); especially since I main WAR on my alt. I had to do P7N about 5 times in a row tonight because half the group was new. I loved every second. It was a pleasure to lead by example (we didn't spoil mechs, just did them ourselves) and watch the improvement each time. And they thanked us at the end for our patience. Those impatient people never get to have these rewarding experiences.
I say first time even when it's not my first time just for shits and giggles.
Over the years I have always known this to be said even in FFXI.
I do not see a issue it is just their way of saying they are new and they may feel anxious if they mess up. Also tips are good if they are unsure.
Because lets be honest some people are just idiots and will not be polite to players. We all start somewhere so maybe people should just be nice ^O^
Because some people may have already run it 20 times, and expect you to have done the same nolife they have.
