It is a really odd choice to do this, I mean the last time they added a Doman Enclave you could teleport right there.

As a visual reference, according to the patch notes, this is where the NPC will be to take you to Island Sanctuary once you have unlocked it. That Aetheryte is the one at Moraby Drydocks.

Agreed. I do hope it is an option in the future. Also, your journey to all fish is fascinating to me.This is content that we know is supposed to advance with both our progression we put into it, and with future patches as stated in the live letters that have focused on IS.
It may be premature to assume that we won't have some type of personalized teleportation option for our Islands- so in the beginning, it makes sense to have NPC travel- which is how everything in this game really starts out with; some device or NPC we have to interact with to discover the place for the first time.

If I remember correctly you couldn't teleport directly to the Doman Enclave until a later point in time as the aetherite hadn't been set up. It was only at a later patch did they put one in. I.E a point in time they probably felt most of the playerbase had gotten to a certain point with the reconstruction or finished it. Anyone else getting to it after that patch would just have it there. Sort of like how everyone joining now only gets to see Morh Dona the way it is now and not the steady involvements that were made over time.

Opinions are like..

I think there is a huge misconception as to how the instances for these work. From what I understand they are similar to the instances for the inside of apartments, FC Houses, Bozja, and Eureka. All of which you cannot directly teleport into. So essentially what you are asking for if for the ability to teleport right into your House or Apartment, not the outside/on the street outside of it but legit inside of it from anywhere in the world. That's likely never going to be a thing.
Now could there have been a different way to handle creating these islands? Possibly. I don't know, I'm not a game developer and I don't know the specifics of the engine that SE is running FF14 on. But based on what it's supposed to be like I do believe that was likely their only option at the time.

I would have to replay that bit of MSQ to check, but it also may be that your first and later visits to the Enclave are actually different zones at a game program level, and the "first visit zone" doesn't have an aetheryte. That's definitely how they manage the broken aetheryte at the House of the Fierce. If I remember correctly you couldn't teleport directly to the Doman Enclave until a later point in time as the aetherite hadn't been set up. I just remember it not being there when the Enclave first came out. You now have people who could not even touch the reconstruction of it yet have gone and done the Ivalice raids so they can then unlock Bozja. In order to level up alt jobs or what not. Since you can travel to Gangos from the Enclave aetherite it would have to useable by those rare few. Now the mini aetherites in the Enclave could still not exist as I think those are tied to progress as part of the reconstruction. Anyway what the op wants does come off as wanting to be able to teleport directly into your house. Like another person has already stated. Just once I'd like it if people could hold off in the complaining about a new feature before people get to try it out. For all we know we might get a mini aetherite as an unlock or something like it is planned to be added with a later patch. That the devs could want players to enjoy how it is currently before making things easier. Not sure that's a good phrasing.I would have to replay that bit of MSQ to check, but it also may be that your first and later visits to the Enclave are actually different zones at a game program level, and the "first visit zone" doesn't have an aetheryte.
