Island Sanctuary Teleportation

As per the patch notes, it appears that Island Sanctuary is accessed through an NPC in Lower La Noscea. I do not believe that it is in the best interest of the player for this to be the sole means of access to the island, and I do not understand the reasoning behind this decision given that teleportation can be used to reach nearly everywhere else including the Housing Districts.

In the future, I would like to see the ability to teleport directly to the island be added. I feel that it is important to make clear the desire for this feature early on, so that the content is easier to access and help people be more willing to partake in it.

Its just like Bozja/Eureka. Also as an unexplored island(in the beginning) there shouldn't be an crystal there. Maybe down the line but this is fine for now lore wise.

Considering I can teleport to the doorstep of my FC house where there is no crystal....the lore explanation doesn't really cut it lol. That said, I'm not really bothered by it personally.

Did they do away with the necessity of the mini aethryte crystal? You use to need them to connect your house to the teleport listing.

99% sure that requirement is still there. I wasn't able to teleport to my FC house until I threw one in the yard.

Whoever designed your FC house may just be hiding the mini aetheryte somewhere then because you need one on the property grounds to teleport there but you don't have to interact with it directly so it can be hidden in things.

As to the OP, I'm willing to wait and see if this is something we unlock since it does make sense to take a boat from an NPC at first as even if it has an aetheryte, it wouldn't be something we had attuned to. I'm not going to immediately jump to oversight, especially when they're proactively instancing Lower La Noscea because they know we're all going to be there. If we don't unlock an aetheryte, then there probably is some technical limitation. It doesn't seem to be an instance like Eureka or Bozja because they mentioned you would be able to queue for things while there, but a 30 minute idle lockout does seem to imply it's not the same behind the scenes as a normal open area.

I think I'll take convenience over lore in this case. Lore should never be used to deny or delay quality of life features.

I agree, although I think it might (or might not) be good to have an aetheryte in Island sanctuary as a form of an upgrade you achieve by playing the content. I'd really like to have Island sanctuary upgrades

This is what I mean. Yeah its gonna suck as casual content with one entrance, but as soon as a magical Aetheryte crystal shows up it will be a low hanging fruit for people to ask why every town doesn't have one.

Maybe have tickets as a currency eater but no crystal right out of the gate.

Already so many weird decisions. Gatekeeped after EW content, gathering that doesn't work with gathering jobs, somehow different gardening system, really big area (although we can't have instanced housing) and now a weird teleport from... Lower La Noscea? Why? Why not Thavnair or another EW area? Would be cool to drop from the moon.
