The 'Join Date' refers to the Forums, not the game. Thus I wouldn't use that as a metric as you'll come across people like me who stayed off the forums for years. I started playing in 2013. I joined the forums in 2020.

This is not difficult to accomplish. Leveling in this game is a very simple and fast process, especially when you already have every job at 80 before Endwalker launched and have friends to give you tank/healer queues for your DPS jobs. This is not some super long and tedious grind that most people wouldn't dream of doing. I merely did roulettes every day until I reached all 90s and finished the grind. In addition, you probably do most of the content you do on your lv 90 jobs if you don't have that many leveled. You'd probably have more jobs at 90 than you do if you played them.

My time in the game is mostly on one character, which is normal for players to do. You're the one who said I had no life, (when I responded with the same it was obviously in jest and to point out the absurdity of the original claim) and yet you apparently need nine different characters for glamour. Is the one character not enough? Surely if I'm playing far more than you are and I only have one character, you would easily be able to play with just the one? Do I think you're actually a no-life or addicted to the game because you have nine characters? Nope. But I would just recommend not throwing stones inside a house made of quite fragile glass.

What I have called for is that content be designed for the amount of time between patches. If there is a 4 month period between patches, that patch should give us content that can last at least the majority of this time for the average player. I completed all of 6.1's new non-ultimate PvE content in 3-4 hours. Even if I spread that content thin across the entire 4 months, there isn't enough there to cover that amount of time well. Most of my time spent over the last 3 months in FFXIV was spent interacting with my friends because there's just not a lot to do right now. Every day, I log in, see if anyone's online to talk to, if not I search for something to do, find nothing and either log out to play something else or AFK to have the music playing in the background. Sure, I can go do old content like Bozja if I really feel like it, but why not just load up FF6 or something else and play that instead if I have to dig through old things for something to do? Surely FFXIV, as a subscription-based MMO, is not designed to be played for 3-4 hours every 4 months right?

If simply desiring that the game gives me a reason to play it other than Fate grinding for gemstones I'll never use or playing the same dungeon for the thousandth time makes me a no-lifer, then sure I guess.

not exactly what Lodestone says.... so easy to use that as a metric in point of fact, especially since as you say, you only play "mostly one character"

I have an old character I don't play anymore. I played with that character in 2013 (although it might have been 2014 now that I think about it, it HAS been like 8-9 years) then swapped to this one during Shadowbringers. However, seeing as I haven't touched him in years, I didn't really bother mentioning him as I don't play him anymore. I could share that character's name but seeing as you're already looking at my lodestone info, I wanna see if you can find him

I'll give you a hint. He's a Black Mage main. (If you have trouble, maybe I can give you some more hints )

Its relaxing, not tied to any player power, and is meant as a recreational activity to do as you wish.
That's what I'm hoping for. I've been cautiously optimistic about it as I can see it being a fun activity to do while doing the savage raids, but I can also see it being something where you show up to click a few buttons and that's it for the day.

You started your current character in March 2020 -- just before joining the forums.
So in the context of you being a no-life who leveled every class to 90, it is disingenuous of you to imply that 2020 is not the relevant start date.

Although really, what marks you as a no-life is how salty you get when there isn't new content that you want to run. People with lives simply find other things to enjoy. Watching cormorant fishing in Kyoto, taking a helicopter to a picnic at a jungle waterfall in Hawaii, photographing the stars at the Grand Canyon, taking river cruises in Europe, things like that. Things that are actually more fun than FFXIV, but also substantially more expensive.

BTW, I started my first character in January 2015, my second in February 2015, and my third in June 2016 ... possibly because I came to FFXIV from SWTOR, where alts are the norm. And to have more to glam, of course.
