The 'Join Date' refers to the Forums, not the game. Thus I wouldn't use that as a metric as you'll come across people like me who stayed off the forums for years. I started playing in 2013. I joined the forums in 2020.
This is not difficult to accomplish. Leveling in this game is a very simple and fast process, especially when you already have every job at 80 before Endwalker launched and have friends to give you tank/healer queues for your DPS jobs. This is not some super long and tedious grind that most people wouldn't dream of doing. I merely did roulettes every day until I reached all 90s and finished the grind. In addition, you probably do most of the content you do on your lv 90 jobs if you don't have that many leveled. You'd probably have more jobs at 90 than you do if you played them.
My time in the game is mostly on one character, which is normal for players to do. You're the one who said I had no life, (when I responded with the same it was obviously in jest and to point out the absurdity of the original claim) and yet you apparently need nine different characters for glamour. Is the one character not enough? Surely if I'm playing far more than you are and I only have one character, you would easily be able to play with just the one? Do I think you're actually a no-life or addicted to the game because you have nine characters? Nope. But I would just recommend not throwing stones inside a house made of quite fragile glass.
What I have called for is that content be designed for the amount of time between patches. If there is a 4 month period between patches, that patch should give us content that can last at least the majority of this time for the average player. I completed all of 6.1's new non-ultimate PvE content in 3-4 hours. Even if I spread that content thin across the entire 4 months, there isn't enough there to cover that amount of time well. Most of my time spent over the last 3 months in FFXIV was spent interacting with my friends because there's just not a lot to do right now. Every day, I log in, see if anyone's online to talk to, if not I search for something to do, find nothing and either log out to play something else or AFK to have the music playing in the background. Sure, I can go do old content like Bozja if I really feel like it, but why not just load up FF6 or something else and play that instead if I have to dig through old things for something to do? Surely FFXIV, as a subscription-based MMO, is not designed to be played for 3-4 hours every 4 months right?
If simply desiring that the game gives me a reason to play it other than Fate grinding for gemstones I'll never use or playing the same dungeon for the thousandth time makes me a no-lifer, then sure I guess.
