Sometimes people have no logical rhyme or reason for wanting something to not progress or change, regardless of the amount of people that would benefit from it. Sometimes you just gotta throw your hands up and say "Okay boomer." and just continue advocating for what you enjoy and what you want to change and ignore people who disagree purely for the sake of disagreement.

To be fair I have said just that many times, keep making requests that would increase your own overall enjoyment. Just don't be shocked or annoyed if not everyone is in agreement.
