Oh no! Working 2 hours a day to get a house, the drama !The number of people in this thread defending the old system is mind boggling. Any system that would encourage people to neglect their personal health in order to win a house is pretty obviously unethical.
The only point any of them have is that before you could, through great acts of neckbeardery, improve your chances. Which is true, but it makes you look pretty bad.
Any anecdotes (too many in this thread to quote) claiming they just walked up to a placard and casually purchased a plot can be dismissed as either trolling or, much less likely, dumb luck.
The lottery at least eliminated the advantage the people botting had, so there's that.

I am not trolling, all you had to do was go there in prime time, which was from 12 to 14 hrs in the timer, and plots were reported on the housing discord at the time they came up. If you didnt look there, there's your mistake.

What? You think everyone should be forced to be on some random discord to keep track of houses and that's a good system somehow? Even if you did that, more often than not you'd have someone come and relocate their house there anyway.
You sure care enough to spam the thread about how the placard spam system was good, ignoring everything that made it terrible. But you do you. Congrats on your plot, want a medal for that?
