VIERA AND HROTHGAR COMPLAINT MEGATHREAD

Just don't let SE ever think we are content with this situation of getting low quality hairs, and being left out of headgear (events, premium outfits, iconic pieces, etc.). Doing so is a sure way to never see improvements made. Ignore me when I am venting or going woe is me.. I have some obsessive tendencies, and apparently anxiety issues as well. I truly want this game and this race in particular to get better, and SE should never think the quality seen above is okay.

Oh, if you saw me as a viera, you ever notice something about my current miqo'te? She looks quite a bit like some of my veena presets.

Yeah, I don't want to get complacent with this. FFXIV and the FF series as a whole is too good for this low quality, in my opinion. No problem. If you need to vent, vent. I totally get it though, if the backlash you receive gets tiring. I also have anxiety issues as well. Even posting in the forums makes me feel self conscious, since the meaning of words sometimes don't translate well in text.
I hope a lot of these problems can be resolved, so that you can be a Viera again. I was almost tempted to go back to Lalafell (I played one during the free trial), but I can't part with my Viera just yet. :'(

Enjoy viera! It isn't like it was when I played it the most, even if viera shared hairs are of relatively low quality, there are still a few that look good, even that 2b hair can look good. I noticed we are on the same world, maybe we will run into each other one of these days! I'll probably be afk though.

I long for the day I can be a viera and they are actually a FULL race, but I'd take them with some more quality hair options (I'd love a few more racial unique!), and some iconic headpieces made available. Be careful you don't fall into the fantasia trap, you could end up like I did, spending hundreds on fantasias switching back and forth.. Even one fantasia is too much of an incentive for them to not fix them, for that matter!

I actually saw you at the Gold Saucer once, but I didn't want to be a weirdo and say, "Hey! I saw some of your posts on the forums!" Now, if I run into you, it won't be as awkward. Lol.

I wish I could draw better, because it would be a fun exercise to brainstorm unique hairs for Viera, both male and female. Of course, some of the previous FF games have a few good ideas. I would recommend SE to throw a hair contest exclusively for Viera and Hrothgar, but I heard that those don't turn out well.

It's unfortunate about certain headpieces that could make or break a glam. I know a lot of people are sad about their RDM hats in particular!

Yes, I have said this before myself as well. I have some ideas in mind for hairs, hairs in general really, but I don't think I have the skill to really bring them to life. A hair contest for viera and hrothgar could turn out well. It'd at least show that SE cared, even if the ideas are coming from the community!

this is because vieras had paws, not feet, in other games in the franchise. But Square Memex proved too incompetent to create them in FFXIV, where in addition to not being able to make helmets for us, they didn't make the paws so they wouldn't have to remodel the shoes too.

This is one thing I am happy they didn't take from previous viera design. The feet just looked weird, in my opinion. Plus viera do get foot gear out of the deal. Said all this before though.

I know I'm part of a minority that prefers paws over feet. But it could be optional: choose between feet or paws. But what to expect from a company that wouldn't even be able to make glasses for vieras, if it weren't for the employees working the day off. What about a poor beard for Hyur, where they had to make a new face just for that? Shame...

I'd say this is being too hard on SE. If they would have done the custom feet, it would have been an easy out for them to not do any foot gear for the race. Making it an option would be a bit odd, in my opinion, but maybe as a different tribe?

I think Yoshida has said before how difficult it is to add new customization options, like a limitation, if they had to duplicate face to add a beard, there are some serious issues going on. Granted, the face stubble face could have also just been an easy way out of doing it proper, much like with hrothgar earless styles. I'm concerned with how long it took for him to acknowledge people wanted the option. If I recall, he was surprised people wanted it. There seems to be a pretty big disconnect here.
