I think Totems are fine, 99 really isnt that much to farm if you really want to get something.
on a side note you may also get them as RNG drops too so all in all sounds fine

I like the idea of cutting down the amount you need by half for older totems. In general I'm a fan of adjusting older content grinds so that they're not nearly as time consuming that way older and newer players alike can focus on present content.
They don't really need to cut anything down because the content keeps getting easier as time goes by. With each item level bump, you're less and less likely to have serious problems and enrage will be a thing of the past. Come next expansion, you'll be able to unsync.
It's best to leave well enough alone. If they drop the totem count, then they could easily decide to eliminate the drop from the loot table.

The op want everything handed... you are 8 people... if you are persistent a mount drop per maybe 10-20 runs, each run take 6-8minutes and most run out stamina once you cleared 4-6..... the odds is perfectly fine, it is like those that wanted even losses counting towards the pvp mounts, which is a big nono.
I am not asking for the drop rate to be increased. The main gripe I am having is running the same dungeon 99 times. It shouldn’t need to be such a high number. I think 50 is perfect, it’s a reasonable goal considering 50 runs still takes a considereable amount of time.
tbh i think the trials mount are overrated so i just stopped farming for them

Well this is the in between content people can do when they worry about lack of content between patches. Giving two totems per clear for some fights is fine but I hope they don't nerf the 99 totem requirement. It's less than tank mounts already.
It's better to have as few totems as possible if you get lucky and win a roll, so spread out your clears and take turns farming all the trial mounts you are missing instead of focusing on them one at a time. That way it's less repetitive too.
What I do is I go with a friend and we try to go once a week.
The worst thing you can do imo is try to farm it out in a few days.
I do dislike though how some people get it super fast while being absolutely awful, like last on the hate list as a dps, but it is what it is..
Doing it once a week for 1 or 2 hours keeps it from being an awful grind.

Yea the number of totems could be cut in half. It's not the biggest problem in the game but I'm in favor of that suggestion.
I collect alts not mounts but if i had the time to mount farm it would be a lot easier if 1) they actually increased the drop rate to something reasonable, or 2) reduced the number of tokens needed. It's my understanding some trials give 2 tokens and not 1.
If mounts were account wide I'd be all over farming them but they're not.
