The devs have said multiple times before ( including Yoshi-P himself and Toshio ) that the forums are toxic as hell and needlessly stressful and that they just stop reading comments because of this crap.
If you lot care about actual change then you'd find it within yourselves to drop the needless antagonism towards them for five minutes.
All that you're doing is make the devs ignore and not read threads and your own comments.

It's completely counter-productive and causes actual harm to the game, then the same people sit around whining about how they're not listening.
If you want to give feedback then give feedback without pointless attacks attached to every single comment.

On the other hand, a relationship (in any relation) isn't really worth indulging in if the other party is rude and disrespectful on a regular basis. The content of what is said isn't immediately invalidated no, but in any circumstances, it isn't going to be given the proper attention if said content is largely vitriolic nonsense.

Say what you don't like, and why you don't like it. If it gets addressed, great, if not and the dislike is continual then it stands that the direction of the game just simply doesn't align according to their interests anymore. Ultimately, it is within the developers' hands to choose the direction of the game. I can certainly say that if you being polite, consistent, and providing at least some insight doesn't change the direction then being rude about the matter certainly wouldn't.

I have a severe distaste for the direction of crafting in this game, for example, as I am certain many have equally vented about, be it on these forums, on Reddit, or on Discord. The solution to that was Firmament which is largely temporal content. So I've taken it for granted that the game's direction for crafting just doesn't align with my interests. This is to say in this regard an alignment towards a casual engagement, as opposed to something that required ongoing investment (Basically HW).

I can say that the very original post in this threat served no other purpose than to complain for the sake of it and to inflame.

if your favorite restaurant changes its menu than you might decide to never go there again, you might also tell the owner that you liked the old menu better and you would really prefer he give you more of the old menu because otherwise you don't believe they can keep you as a patron. what you won't do unless you are completly unhinged is sending the owner a mail telling him how much his new menu sucks ass, he either starts accomodating you or you will never visit his establishment again and that he is a failure for not realizing himself that his new menu sucks ass and he should be ashamed for deliviring something as bad as the new menu to you, so why do you feel this to be an okay way to talk to/about developers in a video game forum ?

If we're talking 'extremely annoying' I'd be more inclined to use that term to describe the posters who show up in response to any feedback whatsoever in order to try and downplay it. Furthermore, there's no real justification for bizarre personal attacks.

We're not 'hAtErS' for having genuine concerns about the very same pattern emerging that caused World of Warcraft to go from the most popular MMO in existence to a complete laughing stock and constant string of scandals.

You say this all the time yet it seems very rare that folks do this (in the OF at least). No one was even talking about those folks either tbf. Also I've seen plenty of ex WoW players (claimed at least) claim the game isn't going down that route and that folks who are unhappy with the game atm are advocating for changes that do lead to WoWs downfall. You're being deliberately obtuse on certain points. Nobody's screaming blue murder. People are giving impassioned feedback and opinion (something that comes with the territory in MMOs) because a service failed, on the back of numerous other failings, consequentially. You then proceed to compare this situation to that of a small local business owner. Strawman 101. I should know better than to reply, really.

It's important to note there's practically 0 community interaction with SE here. We're essentially "the only ones who care enough to scream into the void". I think that has a part to play in the "negativity" of the comments. But honestly, I've played games my entire life, and expecting a community of hundreds of thousands of extremely passionate fans to constantly behave "nicely" is like asking to leave the house and have a million dollars fall on top of you. It's never ever going to happen. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that in all of the communities I've been a part of, negative feedback in the XIV is actually rather polite. Although I'm sure you'd point to a single occasion multiple years ago where something over the line happened as if it's some kind of grand proof.
