the whole point of the post seems to be that it will inconvenience US citizens, so inclusion of data centers for OTHER PEOPLE isnt important.

I think they gave little to no thought to the holiday, as it's in the US market and schedules are schedules.

I find it annoying how many of my fellow Americans think the entire world should rearrange things to accommodate American Holidays. This is an international game and there is no way all holidays worldwide can be worked around. SE settled on Mon into Tues as the standard patch/maintenance time. Sucks to be us sometimes but that is how it is.
