Can't believe I'm actually more optimistic about returning to WoW in 10.0 than continuing to play FFXIV in 6.2. SE really has inherited Blizzard's hubris and thinks anything they do with regard to job design is automatically the best course of action.

Meanwhile Blizzard, while still not being great, is bringing back the old talent system (without the bloat of talent selections that just add 1% more damage or stats) because people wanted it. No borrowed power in Dragonflight either, beyond the traditional tier set bonuses. No legendaries. And a crafting revamp that looks more like FFXIV's, though they can't make crafting/gathering classes. WoW could be headed for a redemption arc, while FFXIV starts making its easily avoidable and much-publicized past mistakes.

At this Point, I want them to bring back the Idea of Kaiten..
if we can't have Kaiten back, then give other skills the aspect of Kaiten.. or something in that direction, My Idea if they don't bring Kaiten back: Reduce the Kenki Cost of Shinten and Kyuten to 20 Kenki and give them a Buff (either Potency Buff or Direct Hit Guarantee) for the Following Attack, suddenly we have turned Kaiten into an Attack basicly. Yes, the fancy Animation would still be gone but there are Videos (on Youtube) that showcase the Skill in its glory but the Idea or Aspect should be preserved!
I'm just sick of sitting on 20 Kenki with nothing to do with, even though we never had that Problem in the first place! .. if they really decide to kill off the Synergic Aspect of Samurai's Mechanic and Resource.. then at least reduce the Kenki Cost of Shinten and Kyuten to 20.. would worsen the Shinten Spam? Yes, but at least I don't have to sit on 20 Kenki anymore! Even if I prefer Samurai with Kenki Iaijutsu Synergy and Cone Tenka Goken (same way how I prefer Cone Overpower) the Removal of the 20 Kenki Spender is what stings the most about 6.1 Samurai...

I am more excited to going back to older offline JRPG's that ironically was how I even got into playing MMORPG's.

How SE managed to steer a Job off the railroads into a freaking Hawaiian Volcano with just a nudge, is both impressive and terrifying that they are capable of something so utterly stupid. With their reaction of... nothing. No words. Not even a shoulder shrug, literal nothingness. No response. Feels like an actual Fantasy, that isn't even Final, it keeps going for months.

SE like a literal lost Spongebob Character, crossed eyes, tongue sticking out, speaking into the microphone
" Sqeenix: Duhh pwease twy it out, N gibs us feedback pwease okey-dokey? ", a literal angry mob voicing Feedback at their faces and they can't figure out how much they F'd up with Kaiten removal or 6.1 changes in general.

We can at least expect an apology again, for an issue announcement again, that isn't related to Job changes again. What's it going to be this time? The 4th RMT issue addressed? Or the more recent Data Center Travel? Whatever it will be, Knock yourself out SE.

I already explained months ago why it's important to keep Single Target and AoE Seperate on Samurai!!
you know what.. I just quote myself at this point ._.

Shoha is your Single Target Skill that you do on Bosses, Mumyo Shoha is your AoE Skill that you do for Trash, simple as that If you consider Shoha and Shoha 2 as button bloat, guess what, the entire Meditation Resource could considered Button Bloat, which it's not! (I mean think about it, you can perform an extra attack for every 3rd Iaijutsu. does it make sense? not really, but it's a part of the Samurai and here to stay!)
Also why do so many Samurai disregard the Option to have a Bonus Attack for Single Target and AoE each? at the moment Ogi Namikiri stands alone as Ikishoten Trigger and again I will predict that we get a Single Target Ogi in 7.0 Because it makes sense to offer the Option and it was just like that with Guren and Senei, but what do i use Ogi Namikiri then? Simple! AoE and to clearify any upcomming Questions:
    Lightning Round Explaination:
    Guren? = AoE
    Senei? = Single Target
    Shoha? = Single Target
    Mumyo Shoha? = AoE
    Ogi Namikiri? = AoE

I hope this clears things up..
also, if they revert the changes of Tenka Goken, it wouldn't be so bad, because the old Tenka Goken required more thinking and of course the return of Kaiten! I hope the DevTeam's silence means that they look into it, otherwise Kenki will feel so useless
My Idea to encommmendate the guaranteed Crit would've been that Kaiten makes the following attack Direct Hit! which may wouldn't help the Samurai's Weak State much but also wouldn't have made Kenki absolutely monotonous like it is now.
We should not get distracted by falsehoods, we have to be clear, I am and I want the devs to Bring Back Kaiten.

Bump. Yes, we still want Kaiten back. The change has not grown on me or been accepted over time or anything like that. It's still a terrible loss and feels awful.

I leveled Samurai right away on my bunny - I started to gear him, and then - this. I hated it. I still hate it. Samurai is going to be this one's last to 90, & I'm not looking forward to it. I'm holding it off on the forlorn hope they'll revert this stupid, stupid change. I don't expect it but hope springs eternal. So I'm waiting.

If anything, it's worse now then the first day. It's so FLAT, so hollow, so empty. It's had the added effect of making me look at class design more critically, and I do NOT want to feel this way, or to have this mindset. But - narrowed eyes...

The Points I made about Samurai

No! They've to listen to our Voice to Bring Back Kaiten, even if it's just reinstating Kenki Synergy with Weaponskills, I'm working on a Text throroughly explaining exactly what we need on Changes for Samurai, here are The Points, I made:
    • With the Kaiten Removal, Kenki got stripped from it's Original Purpose as Damage Boosting Resource
    • Kenki Now is only used for Filler Attacks and 2 Minute Busters
    • Kenki Management got destroyed, there is no more thinking, no more planning to maximize damage output
    • Merging Hissatsu: Senei with Hissatsu: Guren and Shoha with Mumyo Shoha would transform the Samurai into a Dragoon with Circle Geirskogul and Circle Nastrond and would betray the Fantasy Samurai is supposed to fulfill: A controlled High Burst Damage Dealer.
    • Hissatsu: Kaiten wasn't restrictive, it was rewarding for Good Resource Management
    • In my Opinion: Positionals are restrictive since they seem to put an unnecessary risk on the Player and waste serverspace through added calculations
    • Circle Tenka Goken feels weird and weak since it always had been a Cone Attack, same with Warrior Overpower which now is a weak and redundant Mithril-Tempest...
    • Iaijutsu feels unchanged since lvl50 since Kenki can't be utilized to Increase Iaijutsu Damage, Mastering Iaijutsu with lvl52 through Kenki Management is what Samurai is all about since the Reward felt right.

    My Suggestions for Samurai Changes:
    • If Auto-Crit is kept for Midare Setsugekka and Ogi Namikiri, make Kaiten do the following Weapon Skill do Direct Hit, thus rewarding Kenki Management with Direct Crit Damage
    • If a Skill has to be deleted for "Button Bloat", it should be Tsubamegaeshi and roll it up to Iaijutsu (like Ninja's Bunshin turning into Kamaitachi)
    • if none of those suggestions suit the design philosophy, I plea to at least reduce the Kenki-Cost of Shinten and Kyuten, sitting on 20 Kenki with no option feels horrible!

Not All 6.1 Changes of Samurai are Bad though:
    • It's Good that Enpi doesn't eat Meikyo Shisui anymore
    • The Increased Duration of Third Eye
