They haven't said yes or no to it yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped the open world instanced zones in favor of a new deep dungeon for this expansion.

I could live with that, I do prefer the deep dungeons. A new one of those plus the criterion dungeons (which look pretty cool so far) is a good trade IMHO.

I'm not saying it has to be... Lol. But sure is suspicious to term them "weapon enhancement" quests and state they'll be receiving updates throughout 6.x. No need to be so flippant.

Saw you edited your post. I don't want to. Honestly I don't feel like it. I'll keep the fetch quests to MSQ. Starting all the way from ARR was a drag. At least Ivalice was mostly standing in one place or doing engaging content.

Hildebrand is just not everybody's cup of tea. That kind of humor isn't for everyone, so I find it an odd choice to force people through this for the relic.

This can only mean one thing...they're joke weapons this time around. Like paper airplanes for SGE weapons, Sardines for NIN, a coloring book for SCH/SMN, etc. So think less like previous relic weapons and something more like the Moogle weapons.

From the limited presentation, it did seem to imply that they're the relic weapons of Endwalker... Which have been always kind of equivalent to Tomestone/Raid weapons in item level...
