Frankly, the fact that it ended with more FORGE AHEAD propaganda just sealed the deal for me. At this point, if the Twelve are revealed to be yet more constructs of Hydaelyn then frankly I'm throwing my hands up in... you guessed it, despair. Abandon hope, all ye who enter here.

Hard agree. As someone who struggles on the daily with chronic depression (ironically made worse by Endwalker, shoddy performance. Exuent, I say! Exuent!) for someone to be so tone-deaf, dismissive and ignorant as to call my rather serious mental issue naught more than.... ah yes, TEENAGE ANGST is honestly rather sickening.

Wouldn't be the first time Yoshi and the Gang have been hit in the ass by unpleasant hindsight and instead of being forced to acknowledge it, they brush it off and ignore it. Or worse, attempt to justify it. Well, let's be real. We all know they trust the fandom to do that job for them. Frankly, I don't suspect it'll be the last either. Judging by the Omega: Beyond the Rift quests, which were falsely advertised and ended up being more propaganda.... well, my wellspring of faith is positively famished right now.
