Another FC House attempt failed.
Another FC House attempt failed.
They would still have the statistics from the previous lottery when players were still able to bid. Eventually there will be other houses that become available so players can go back to entering the lottery.
The important thing for those who are trying to get house to remember: DO NOT GIVE UP. KEEP ENTERING IF A HOUSE IS AVAILABLE.
If people give up, SE is going to assume that demand is falling. If they keep bidding when possible, SE will see that the demand still exists.
Encourage your friends who are also getting discouraged but don't post in the forums to keep bidding as well.
How are you failing when there are hundreds of small FC plots still left on every world, many of which gets zero bids?
Or are you trying to hold out for a specific size/plot so there's too much competition? That's not the way to do it when you're going after a first house. Take what you can get, at least for the sake of getting garden/workshop/private chambers started. Then try to upgrade to a better plot.

Because I can only bid on one House at a time, bruv.

Yeah, and?
Even if you bid on a Small, so can other players who get the same bright idea. Which means you can lose a coinflip - as I just did today.
But wait. Obviously that's still my fault for bidding on the "wrong" Small.

Just saying that sometimes it is best to play with the cards you've been given instead of chasing that impossible hand. Do what you want, obviously, but I wouldn't call it a winning strategy or anything remotely close to one.
Could you not put words in my mouth? I know we're on the General forums and that's forum culture but fuck's sake.
I bid on a Small. Another person ended up bidding on it as well. I lost the coinflip. There's no strategy there. And yet apparently I'm the one in the wrong, according to you two, for not. For not what? Having some fucking futuresight to know that said plot might be a fucking hot commodity?

When are you bidding? You should bid as close to the end of the entry period as possible so you have more control the amount of competition that you face.
I find it very hard to believe that all the available FC smalls had at least one bid in the last lottery period on Midgardsormr. If you were bidding outside of Empyreum for one of the few smalls in one of the other districts, then you have to expect other competition showing up.
If you really want a house, you have to play it smart. I get that the system if frustrating but at least be thankful you're trying to get a FC house. There's more than enough available that you will be able to get one. Imagine if you were trying to compete in the personal house market.
It's not good to victim blame, guys. Wren came down to a 50/50 with 2 entries.
