Why does everyone seem to think it is their problem? I'm not asking y'all for ideas or solutions. I am giving my opinion. I know that's a bit controversial.

I know it is my choice. It is also my choice to use these forums to express my discontent with the system, without inviting unasked for advice.

Speak it for yourself.
You post on a public forum and you owe to see opinions from opposite site.

Ultimates are broken and should not be advertised.
They are just to hard and many people will never be able to clear them.
Why do they advertise a thing that not everyone can easy obtain?


Housing is not broken and it works as intended.
It was first intended for FCs only but they extended it to the player.
The lottery system was broken but now is fixed.
Is it good? I don't know, i have a house. But I know that many player wanted a system like that for years.

This is a flawed comparison, because with housing the scarcity actually makes it impossible for most people to have one, whereas with raiding the only limitation is your willingness to prog. There's not a hard lock on the number of people allowed to clear ultimate, but there is a hard lock on the number of homes left to purchase.
Actually, most of this thread's arguments against the OP are really poor ones. Which is no surprise. There's no adequate defense of this system. It should 100% not be advertised as a feature if it's going to be the crapshoot it currently is.

Like the OP, your dishonest rhetoric revolves around apartments not being housing.
They are housing, and anyone who wants one can easily get one.
Accordingly, SE can advertise housing.

But that's nonsense: play it right and your odds of winning a house lottery are better than the odds of getting a rare mount drop from EW content. And when they turn auto-demolition back on, if you keep playing the lotteries, it is nearly certain you will eventually win. It's not even a big investment in time or gil: a few minutes a week, and you get your gil back if you don't win.

The problem seems to be that you, like the three-tries-and-I-quit OP, don't have the patience for this.
You want your prestigious house and you want it NOW.

Well too bad for you, that's not how this game works. This game gates prestige items, like the Resplendent tools and the Pteranodon mount, behind long grinds that take an enormous amount of time to do. If you aren't willing to do the grind, you don't deserve the prize.

And that's what houses are: prestige housing gated behind a potentially long grind.

Plus, how is it childish to not participate in a feature I think is a waste? I'm not forcing anyone else to do so, nor am I belittling others who do. For those it's enough for, I am genuinely glad. But for me there is no fulfillment in an apartment I am just going to leave behind. We will have to respectfully agree to disagree.

I can agree wit this statement. Apartments do not have enough space compared to house and do Lack features that house have. The sad part is that a lot of players wanted updates to the apartment but nothing happened.

For instance you cannot cross breed seeds for instance. With a house you can express more with more space

Are you saying that only that size and style of house shown in the picture counts as housing? Of course not. Only an idiot would think that the house shown in that picture was the only size and style of housing available.

There's also a lack of features available to small house vs. larger ones, and of features available to personal houses vs. FC houses. That doesn't mean SE should make large houses with all the features of FC houses available to anyone who wants one.

Anyone can. It's been seven years since I first started playing this game, and I believe that under the present system, if I keep trying to obtain a medium personal lot for the next seven years, I'll get one. Especially after all the impatient people give up.

But that's not what you want, is it? You want anyone to be able get not just housing but a house whenever they want. Sorry, but that's not how prestige contents works in this game.
